I am not looking forward to Anzac Day.

If the last couple of weeks are to go by we will be very competitive. I'm hoping Reid plays then we will be in for a small chance. Just need to put heaps of pressure on them. Plus we are better then Carlton

Bombers took it right up to the Hawks. I think they are a very big threat and certs for top 4.

Don't forget the Bombers have a habit of trailing off in the second half of the season.

They definitely look threatening though, but wouldn't judge it off of the Carlton game.

I wouldn't be feeling at all confident against Essendon at the moment, nor North the week before although the MCG helps and we *might* have a player or two back before then.

Richmond next week, Carlton after ANZAC Day, Adelaide (in Adelaide), West Coast, St. Kilda, Melbourne, Bulldogs all winnable before facing Hawthorn.

I am shattered!

Essendon are by far my most hated team. They are masters at starting the season well and are well on track for April back to back to back premierships but when it's nearing the end of the season they started getting belted.

They will beat us on Anzac Day and I have no doubt about that but they are no premiership threat in the slightest.

I guess the good thing about tonight is Carlton lost but I wish it was to another team.

Anzac Day games often don't follow the script. We were warm favorites last year and got belted. We were much better than Essendon in 2009 and 2003 and lost those ones too. Then there was 2007 when they went in hot favorites and we ended up winning.

Can't really read into tonight's game at all tbh, Carlton are a mess ATM.

I agree that the Carlton result is a little skewed by Carlton being poor but i still rate the bombers. I don't expect them to fall away so much this year as they may did have the fiasco hanging over them of 2013. I guess we shall see in due course though.
Don't forget they kicked 9 goals to 2 v the hawks after half time before the hawks kicked the last 2 to win. They also dismantled north and the only surprise was that the result wasn't 100 points plus.

You've got to be very protective of these endangered species...
Yep. Very touchy.
Would love to quote some of their posts but I'm banned.
No reason or explanation.
Probably posted there about 5 times in 8 years. My last couple were genuinely positive too, saying Thomas is a hard player & not soft as some people incorrectly assume. Got a few likes by their posters but no, deleted & now a Board ban.
Still, it's easy enough to log off and enjoy some schadenfreude. Complete meltdown. They're even suggesting the Judd trade did them over. Cancelling memberships. Awesome stuff.
Enjoy Mick. Fingers crossed Melbourne get their shit together this week. Jizz in my pants if that was to occur.

A number of posters on Carton's board now calling for Warnock's head and for Cameron Wood to replace him o_O
Suggestions that Malthouse, Butters, etc. were actually planted there by Eddie are going to reach fever pitch when Wood spuds it up for them :p

Round 7 against them - Grundy vs Wood - that would just sum it up so neatly as to where the respective clubs are at.

That would be very Interesting.

Wood beat Jolly last year in the VFL

Grundy's weakness is against the bigger, stronger types, which Wood most definitely is not. I'd expect him to win that match-up easily.

Anyway I was referring more to the symbolism of having a young potential superstar Grundy playing for us vs. a journeyman Wood for them.
Our bright future vs. their bleak, hopeless one :thumbsu:

Grundy did a good job last season on Mumford.

He struggles against the Bigger Guys as he is still young and still needs to build his tank and body up still. Though he can beat them around the ground with his Mobility.
