You guys are going through another transition. You need to stick with the plan. You guys have undervalued the experience you lost over the last 2 seasons. Expecting a rapid improvement on the back of kids will never happen.
It will take time for your young players to develop there own culture. 2-3 years. You have almost finished a complete rebuild in under 3 years... incredible really.
Have a look at Clarkson and the Hawks... he had the bualk of that side already there.. It took Bomber 8 years at Geelong... Worsfold was lucky to keep his job but now he is the messiah again.

You have all seen glimpses of players and how well they can play... It's a matter of them working together. This will take time.

It;s the same at Richmond. Next year our expectations will increase and if we dont see improvement the finger pointing will start.

The media doesn't help..... you need to go back 2 years and imagine where you thought you would be. At present you are still a chance for top 8.... but as WC have shown pushing for the top 8 when you aren't ready is fruitless in the present environment. Lower your expectations and support your kids.

Good post nut.

Not that I approve of your posts in the Scully thread

I hope Scully stays.... Infact I think the rules should state that no player within 4 years of a Draft can be taken as a uncontracted player, especially round 1 selections. The reason why we have a draft is to even up the competition, by taking away clubs young high draft picks defeats the purpose.

But if it looks like he is going to go you must be prepared to use him the best way you can. All I did was suggest a scenario that you could potentially get more for him then you paid for him....

I think this list will pay off eventually, but Bailey took a big risk in completely annhiliating any true leadership we had from experienced players.

You have to failure before you succeed. Fingers crossed.

I think your clean out was a bit too aggressive, but long term I dont think it will matter. It will probably take just as long to reach a top 4 position but the ride will be more up and down.

Change coaches and you might get a similar start as the bombers enjoyed this year. But at the end of the day it's the cattle you need and Knights would probably have the bombers in the same position minus a few thousand members.
I think you have the pieces for the puzzle. You just need to be patient ..

You've done the hard yards... dont rock the bat just yet. Bailey is as honest as they came I'd stick with him a until atleast the end of next year.

The only "true leader" we lost was Mcdonald, i think he is getting rid of the old, it may take awhile but this group will instill new stronger values imo, this cant happen wit hthe dead wood hanging around

IM talking Scully, Trenners, Gys, Watts, Moloney, Sylvia starting a new era

I dont care much for the loss of Bruce, Miller for leadership

The loss of Macca is absorbed on field through Jordie Mac by a bit and more. IF we didn't have Jordie ready to fill that role immediately then Junior might of got another year.

Lets face it, Jordie is a tackling demon, doesn't shirt a contest, wins the ball and plays well above his experience level.

Then we have the 'loss' of Miller(spud), PJ(Martin has stepped up above what we all thought he had), Bruce(injuries to the backline only thing that makes this slightly hurt)..

I'd be fine with sticking with Bailey and waiting for the plan to come together, but everything I've seen this year points to the fact that THERE IS NO PLAN!!!!

The dogs sacked Peter Rhode, got Rocket Eade in and went from there. Same with the saints with Watson, Blight, Thomas to get to Lyon.

Sometimes you have to cut the nice bloke.

coming from a supporter who's club was molested by wallace and co for an eternity this post is rich. our expectations will remain high, as will our support for our kids, but not our coaching staff.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't need Richmond fans telling us it'll all be okay.

This isn't going anywhere.
