Ablett Jr - media darling

Todays Hun has an interesting stat on the so called over rated player.

Ablett has collected 20 ground level hardball gets inside the forward 50 arc this season - four more than any other player in the competition.

That is an amazing achievement in itself,but remember Ablett gave everyone a headstart when he missed four games early in the year with a groin injury

Anyone who says he is over rated is just plain jealous.

Observers who don’t rate him don’t understand the benefit of a player who brings others into the play, the benefit of sure hands, the benefit of a player who is naturally creative, the benefit of a player football nous rather than just athletism, the benefit of a player with goal sense in other words a match winner and game breaker. If they don’t understand or don’t see that then they are just as dense as Jarrah, dog dumb and football ignorant. To be slightly fairer maybe they have not seen him live ,the TV coverage doesn’t always do justice to his ability to work in traffic.
He is simply amazing.
