Movie Notes on a Scandal

Anyone seen this?

First time I'd come across it. Riveting thriller - no criminal masterminds involved, just a lonely old spinster (Judi Dench) manipulating a coworker (Cate Blanchett) who is having an affair with a student.

Some fine acting and writing on show (some brilliant observations and lines) Dench is superb as a twisted old biddy and Blanchett, who I usually find over the top, great also.

Whilst I found it interesting I hated it. Judi Dench's character is despicable and I spend I half the movie wanting to smash her head with a rock.

Yeah its a wierd movie. Technically very good, but the characters arent very likeable.
