Nightcliff

Consider them getting a kick up the backside for me, too.

Appreciate the commentary, keep it up.

Given the game was a Nightcliff Oval and it was raining
that a good rockup. Recently at Gardens games have been
as bad as under 200.
On average on a good day you would expect the following:

Football Park double header 800 -1300 (depends whos playing)
Gardens 500- 600 (maybe 50 sitting out side)
Nightcliff 400- 500
Freds Pass - never been there

Record for a minor round game in my time
was 4500 Wanderers v Nth Darwin early '80s at
Gardens.

Rightio, not bad size.

Killer ol fruit.........sorry to be a burden but would you know of a former Footscray player from up there that has come down to North Adelaide. Sorry i dont have more to go than that. He is also supposedly bringing two mates who were also rookie listed with AFL clubs. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Palmerston...1.3...5.11...8.7..13.21(99)
Wanderers....5.1...6.2...10.3...11.4(70)

Eagles bitz them in the first quarter and
managed to stay with the ladder leading
magpies all day.

Eagles full forward Jason Rae got 5 in the
first half.
Jason Rae used to play for Centrals in the SANFL a few years ago (mostly underage/reserves and a couple of league games from what I remember). Always had the talent but he seemed to lose interest after not getting many opportunities in the league. Hope he's enjoying playing in the NT!

NIGHTCLIFF!!!!
great win against top of the ladder palmerston who crashed to their second loss in 2 weeks. after belting the maggies by 10 goals at nightcliff oval in december, a tough 33 point win yesterday at Gardens Oval. now we just need St Mary's to do the right thing by us and win today so we regain fourth spot.
darwin struggled early against sthn districts in the early game, actually trailing at half time but turned it around for an easy win in the end. chris lewis has got them going at the right end of the season.

Buffaloes....3.2...5.6...10.11..16.13(109
SDistricts....3.2...7.2...7.5.......8.6(54)

Buffs not known for putting any more effort in than
neccessary, were 2 goals down at half time.
but fired up with 11 goals to 1 in second half still pretty poor effort.

EphremTipungwuti 5 goals for Buffaloes

Harold Calma 5.7 17 year old Ex backman was a freight train for Buffs in the second half running through the centre- forward corridor. Districts were led from the front by Captain Coach Jason Crockatoo.
Buffs play Palmerston next week ,and then Saints
in the followng game

Nightcliff...2.3...4.6...8.13...13.14(92)
Palmerston...1.1...2.2...6.6...8.11(59)

Nightcliff came out fired up from the opening bounce.
and controled play for much of the first quarter
running down the 2 time premiers with numbers to the ball
Palmerston had some big names returning (Jock Mcleod
Corey Kurnoth Mark West Ed Darcy and Saleem Hassien)
fought their
way back into what turned out to be an intense contest
but were not able stem nightcliff who pulled away in the
second half to win by 5 goals.

Best for Nightcliff John Bonson Rowen Bonson Mark Mclean

McMasters and Rowen Bonson 3 goals (tigers
Darcy 3 (Magpies)
Mark Tyrell palmerston captain was injured

McCale 4 for darwin

Eldine mcCale and williams were darwins go to guys in the forward line
darwin kicked first couple in 1st quarter then let palmerston back
in same happened in the next two quaters. In the last buffaloes kicked away
Best darwin...eldine mcCale harold calma mike williams walapini

these days) best for palmerston.

Apparently Eldine is from Broome
