I don't subscribe to the theory that someone must earn it. I think you just give it to one of the new kids and let them make it their own rather than holding off and building the pressure on the next person to wear it. I could just see Coffield running around in it and building his own career in it.

Jumper numbers are usually given out in draft pick order. We traded in Austin Logan, and 2 players were drafted before Oscar. There are 4 numbers free before 38, so unless a surprise player has changed numbers it would appear we aren't giving the 12 away.
