I doubt Port will be offering Whitlock and I think St Kilda were just trying to unsettle him with their tapping up.
Whitlock is got to be out of trade discussions unless it is a Godfather offer.

Yeah I think it was more St Kilda approaching Whitlock than Port offering him.
Hopefully him getting games and kicking goals and the boys getting around him has helped him settle.
You have to look past the hysteria and be reasonable eventually.
Two first rounders is enough for just about anyone especially a half back flanker that plays mainly a seagull role in a shit side.
Obviously he’s more than just that but that’s been his main role.
No team is giving up a 200cm 18 year old who shows promise, that’s like finding a rare coin in a bag of pennys.
The idea that one player will make all the difference is a pipe dream, we should be able to get this deal done like any other club without giving up the world for it.
I've said the same thing at times, and it may well be that case. But footballers for the most part are pretty simple beings, if he can nut out the loser mentality early and get some good feeling back around the place with a good off-season, they might just forget about stinkers and this whole season.

I think you're underselling Nasiah a bit but if he wants to come home, you get the good end of the deal. Davies got the Hornet home so he has some success in this area.
It is going to be a massive off season. Really bloody exciting.
He’s got his best mate in Berry at the club. These games he’s getting now will help a lot in his preseason planning. Great to kick 3 and take some marks inside 50 opposed to Weitering.
The icing on the cake for him would be another 2 goals against GC and then some good finals form in the SANFL if he gets the chance.

I want to see this club look likes it actually progressing rather than just focussing on ladder position

Why are you tuning into Eddie Cornes?
If his sole motivation is to walk into a ready made premiership team and displace players who have done the grind of a rebuid, then hes probably not the character we need.

If we trade a player, it’s also about trading when their value is high. Ie it’s a bad year to trade Marshall, SPP, and so on.
Also, no one wants to go the saints unless they get paid way overs, so it’s more likely a fringe player who wants an extended career would agree.
We are better off trading players over 26. Farell, Drew, Wines, etc.
And no doubt with the reluctance to want to go to the Saints, if we have to extract a mid level player, it’d be involving another club.

Some absolutely cooked takes in this thread regarding the state of the list.
We've won the most games of all sides in the comp bar Brisbane over the previous 5 seasons. The only player of note we've lost recently is Houston, who was aging anyway.
Assuming we don't get crippled with injures again next year we will 100% be playing finals.
