You mean apart from him suggesting he was worth more than Chris Judd who was a Club captain, Premiership captain, Brownlow medalist, Norm Smith medalist, Leigh Matthew’s trophy winner, 2 x All Australian, 2 x club champion, AFLPA best first year player and 3 x Ross Glendinning medalist when he was traded? 😉

I think he had a point with regards to it not being a valid comparison due to how long ago that was.

There is an assumption underlying that point that suggest inflation in the market re the draft capital required to affect trades that is unsupported by evidence which is why he didn’t even try to make the argument.

Surely if this is true it means that they are keeping NWM? (its probably not).

I know the last round of collective bargaining resulted in a significant increase in the salary cap, but I was of the understanding most contracts had an automatic percentage increase tide to salary cap increase.

It amazes me that if this is true the list management hasn’t systematically review and renegotiated everyone’s contract. They are some prime movers they are potentially loosing.

Hence why I think that it is complete rubbish.

Can't help but think Bergman or Butters are on the table here. What's the chances Bergman deal was done to make it more valuable to break?
Neither are on the table. Stop listening to Vic media morons and idiots on Bigfoofy talking garbage. They'll keep saying Butters is the only way to pressure Port in moving him on when he isn't needed in the trade. They want Port to lose Butters and I can assure you, it's NOT Butters wanting to leave or Port wanting to move Butters on for this trade. Port have ample room to pay Butters and Nasaih regardless of the numpties here on BF and other places stating otherwise

Wanganeen was always coming home to Port once they were in the AFL.
Far from it.

The guy has openly and publicly stated he absolutely agonised over the decision to leave Essendon, and admitted he would have regretted leaving them if it wasn’t for the ‘04 flag after missing out on the Bombers 2000 premiership.

It was absolutely an enormous coup.

Wilkie is under contract until 2027. In our top 3 players at the club. Absolute madness he leaves.

We have a bottomless pit of money to satisfy Nas if needed. We don't need to shed players to keep him. The problem has never been money with Nas, as you campaigners are well aware of.

Funny how you think this only works for your players, but not for ours.
