Amusing seeing the character of some of the saints people on bigfooty. No wonder their club has been irrelevant for so many years and needs all the help it can get.
Signing with the Saints for 2 years is a decent outcome - probably better than locking him into the biggest deal in the AFL, on the back of late season midfield games against (mostly) poor opposition. Wait and see how he goes.
Pretty much. Probably what a lot of the hold up was by getting saints to up the offer for only a 2 year period. Seems he doesn't want any longer than 2 years but on the right coin and saints didn't want to give the $$ for only 2 years.

So getting 2 million or if it's more than that per year for only 2 years is well orchestrated by his manager. He deserves that coin if he's staying there. Still feel he doesn't want to be there 100% but he'll give his all regardless so props to him. Can see him. returning in 2 years after a good pay day and Port is in a better situation especially with the trade side of things. Still cannot see Saints getting anywhere even with Nas staying on. They'll have to bribe and pay overs for players to help that club.

No big loss.

I’d get 30 easy touches a week playing for the saints.
That attempt for goal in his last game was pretty funny!
Yes, I agree a bullet dodged. Basically it was never going to happen after Bergman renewed his contract
Edit. Shut his thread down

Good on him for being loyal.

I would've loved him at the club but he's happy at the Saints.

What it does mean is that our offseason is a bit more spicier because we will have more options with the cash we would've splashed for just Nasiah.

A few has said Zac Bailey and I would agree.

Felt like we were going to get railroaded into overpaying. It's clear at the moment that all of St Kilda's ball movement goes through Nas so his stats are going to look incredible. We're the same in some respects with regards to Butters and Rozee. We wouldn't be getting the St Kilda version of Nas as we have more talent in our midfield, we'd have gotten a 20-25 touch and 20 goal a year mid, which isn't worth 3 first rounders.

A bit of a sigh of relief tbh. We would've had to drop our dacks no doubt and probably lost Whitlock in the process.

It was never going to happen, not in this trade period anyway. Crows were sniffing around but I guess the Rankine issue just solidified his decision. At least the tingles dont get him either.
