I was just having a look at the dates of the Australian Open (19 Jan - 1 Feb) and it turns out they clash with the Asian Cup (9 Jan - 31 Jan). Now because we are hosting the Asian Cup, we are going to see a massive influx of terrorists tourists in January.

Now this is where you young gals should have learned to sew + then you'd know about fabric + fit!

I buy most of my clothes online, because I can tell if it will fit me, plus mumus aren't difficult to fit ;)

I reckon Tiffany & Co could learn something from the manufacturers of those hose clamps, SC. But then, I guess, they wouldn't make any money on alterations, would they? Perhaps that's why they don't use the worm drive method of adjustable sizing?

But the great thing is that many boutiques do both - as in my examples previously.

I definitely agree "there are FAR too many big shopping centres". When I went visit my auntie in US, her DIL too me to a Mall - Montgomery Mall in fact, because she said I HAD to see a typical US Mall. I nearly fell off the seat, thank goodness I was wearing a seat belt - it was a Westfield :eek: + I had the last laugh telling them that Westfield was Australian owned lol

They also have the strip Malls in US, very ugly things.

Perhaps the teenagers + Uni students could meet in cafes in parks? Or read books, bought online lol I'm very much anti commercial/shopping/materialism for kids - well for everyone! Save their $$$ + travel (then go shopping OS :p)

I think we're almost outdoing the most 'outdoing' country in the 'most shopping centres' competition ;)
And wrt the teenagers/Uni students- I was talking about them all working as checkout chicks/boys or having nightfill jobs.
The more we spend, the more we need to work to spend more... then we throw it away...

I have all the ones you suggested, they were gifts with purchase when I bought the DVD's + in fact I have about five Inner Sanctum DVD's lol

Not having to struggle with kilos and kilos of groceries (esp when it's raining) is the best thing ever about Coles online.
Buy all canned/tinned/pasta type goods. Also LL Milk, juice, etc. And stock up on fruit, veg, chicken etc on a weekly basis myself.

I only use Coles online every 6 weeks or so too.
