How do I kill a spider I reckon has about 5 inch legs currently folded unless up that is on my mums rooms door. It's between the door frame and the top of the door so it's shut out into The hallway .

Nothing long to hit it with so I can't jump on it when it falls. There's no spray and only I'm here ..

Should I open the door and hope it doesn't drop on me and let it claim her room?

I usually just get a decent sized clear plastic food container, quickly put it over the spider, then slide it over a piece of paper or thin cardboard underneath catching him and then throw the whole lot outside..

I guess you can't really do that when it is up there and I've never seen a spider here quite that big

Depends on how much you are selling it for- I'd go registered mail if it's money you don't want to lose. ie- you can prove you've sent it and that it's been received. Not sure what cost that adds to your postage price, though.
Otherwise all you need to do is walk into the local post office- smaller ones have more helpful staff- and they can advise you as to what to pack it in and postage options and price. They sell small boxes, padded bags etc. that cost a couple of dollars. Otherwise you can just wrap it in a couple of layers of cardboard to protect it. Even just cut up a cereal box.

Oh- and you acquire life skills by watching other people do things and asking when you can't figure something out. People aren't born with life skills- and some people don't like trying new things so take longer to learn life skills.

The only ones I've ever really had often inside in WA is those gangly long legged light brown huntsman ones, they don't bother me much and I try not to even hurt them But I hate those dark black ones that camp in webs up high in the corners of metal patios. Thank **** they never come inside though. Anyone know what they are?

I've only ever known those black spiders as "black house spiders"- have a look here:

I think they're the same spiders that sneak into the metal tubing of washing lines and live there happily until the temp gets to over 40 deg, at which point they struggle out and hide on the underside of the metal struts, gasping for some cooler air. Then they run all over the place when I try to hang up my washing.

Nah but I deadset hate spiders and cockroaches. May be scared of them but I still get them so I'm not scared scared. I literally stand close to them and let them do whatever in their little spot and not distract them until I've thought through what I'm gonna do so they don't move around.

I'm only scared of cockroaches though due to one night in Darwin this year. In Nov14-May15 me and my siblings and my dad needed a house and we got one off a drug dealer and the house was pure rotten. The walls and doors rotting and a few holes at the bottom of the walls. The house was cleaned vaccuumed every single day so it wasn't a matter of us being dirty pigs it was the fact the previous people before us were disgraceful. The owner of the house is a wog who wrote down his debts to other druggies on the master bedroom tile flooring which had marks everywhere mind you - in every room. The house made housos look like cleaners.

No matter how clean you could be you'd get a cockroach every single day and these ones fly - which is where I'm getting to. One night I killed a cockroach nothing out of the ordinary at about 3am. I won't lie I was kinda out of it and at that time of my life I was sitting on Bigfooty and other sites all hours of the morning. Still am but not close to that extreme. Anyway another cockroach came at me so it was a one off night where I copped two. Suddenly a 3rd one came flying off a curtain direct to me in the opposite side of the room and I didn't literally but I shit it and since then I've been scared off them. And later again a 4th one came but come by then I was in ninja commando mode where everything was coming for me in a paranoia state which was ****ed.

What's even more ****ed is I reckon 90% of Darwin's drug users/sellers/fiends and other criminals including one murderer would always rock up to the house. Some are actually okay people and I have awesome instincts like this I could always pick the pieces of shit from the half decent.

Later in February that Greek sold the house to an Indian and the suburb we were in sometimes goes underwater during Cyclone Season dunno how a government ever gave permits to build there but oh well. Our house never went underwater but if someone showered the bathroom drain would flood the room, or if we did dishes the water wouldn't go down, if we did a shit it would literally go out this thing on the side of the house and all the toilet paper in chunks and shit everywhere would reek one side of the house.

So my dad didn't pay rent for 10 weeks because he didn't see a point when the bastard Indian didn't fix it and it's his responsibility as owner of the house. In the end we got kicked out May 13th I stayed at a mates for a couple days and I bailed on my dad, siblings and came to Adelaide alone and no one knew.

Now as of today my mum got my brother, my dad moved to Adelaide a month and a bit agoand has said I am dead to him which doesn't bother me. We are both too stubborn to talk to the opposite but I highly doubt he wants this he just doesn't wanna seem weak and give in first. I ain't weak so he'll have to be on his death bed before I give in

Put a bird on the deck/verandah outside the door and it will go outside to eat, then all will be sweet.

If it's a hunstman either leave it there so it kills all the bugs, or scoop it up in a glass and chuck it out.

Flesh check on Auspost website, they can give you a cost with packaging. I have used Pack and Send before and they are good. Just ring 'em.

I don't even know. A spider is a spider. They are horrible creatures.

when I finally decided to go for it - it fell down and got under my mums door and under this shelf thing with 3 drawers. Anyway I laid in the floor infront of it shining my iPhone camera at it and I could see the reflection of it in its many creepy eyes. I moved the shelf thingy slightly knowing it'd atleast move when I walk away so I got back on the ground how I was prior to moving it & it came out and I waited for it to move a bit before smashing it with the baseball bat.

Left it on the ground in my mums room as a present lolz

They are hurties when they bite. Not nice but not very aggressive.
