Genuinely embarrassing.

I never thought I would say I prefer the Sturt blue lightning bolt strip.

We need to stop hiring arts grad students in their 20's to design our strips.

Disappointing.

Lightning_Rod and Rory, send the club your CV's

That clash top is very ordinary at best.............

I'd love to know how many and what type of supporters got questioned on the design as I couldn't see many people favouring the clash top in any way what so ever............

Perhaps we should hit the club with emails as I don't see too many people except supposed 'marketing experts' thinking anything good about that clash jumper top.

What’s the bet there is a person who designs these things who thinks we play football inside a computer monitor.

They don’t realise footballers move and go fast. You cannot see any detail in the guernsey in real life, hence strong bold strokes of colours do well, finicky finely detailed arty stuff, whilst probably looking great in Photoshop pro, look absolutely ****HOUSE in real life.

I think it's just further proof that the club needs to get some traditional footy supporters into the marketing area as things like this just look like 'new age garbage' instead of anything real footy supporters would like to see............

I reckon Nathan Lonie will look really cool in it. :D

Just needs a superhero helmet to top it off. :thumbsu:

I like the Spiderman analogy. I agree morell, you lose all that detail in the blur of action - like the lightning bolt and triangles on the last guernsey. I'm hoping that in that blur of action, it just takes on a solid colour look.

And they're going to have the same trouble with recognition if they go for white numbers.

I know I've said it before, but I don't think we'll ever see a prison bar design again ... :(

Whoever at the club has approved that design needs to be forced into a new career path away from PAFC (we dont need them) - because that's a disgrace ..... where does that design even fit in to our new power identity ?

I had heard they road tested several designs on a group of junior members, so I guess this must have been the most popular.

Looks like we're after Channel 10's marketing demographic ...

And what's real funny about that is even the club admitted they got it wrong by having too many small triangles and other shapes/designs on it..........whilst this jumper doesn't have the triangles it certainly has too finer definitions with the lines going up the front and back of the jumper

who knows what colour the numbers will be on that design......silver would be a good match with that.........;)

Neither do I but a move to a more traditional type jumper would have been a much better move.

Perhaps Alberton kindegarten was used for the road test............they should be speaking to people at the age group that can actually spend money as that's where the club misses out big time with the way it markets itself and it's merchandise............

May as well make the numbers pink in keeping with the theme of attempting to embarrass the players wearing it.

I don't think it's great, but I thought it was going to be a lot worse!!
Black numbers will be fine and I think after a while it will just seem normal

thats the problem ... its called conditioning.....

The other part of that problem is that when people are choosing clubs, ours will look like a pack of fairies.

Conditioning is fine for existing supporters, but how are we going to get more supporters in with such ridiculous stuff?

I'd say fluro will match it best..........it certainly suits the rest of top.
I'm just glad the club wasnt taking it to the kids to "test" in the middle of a hyper-colour craze or who knows what crap we'd be wearing.

Well, 10 have broadened their demographic to include people up to the age of 49.

Maybe the club should do the same...

I think it looks fine. I don't think its that bad that it would stop people from choosing to support one club over another, but judging by the majority of reactions I'm wrong about that.

give it a season or two and it will probably be changed anyway
