Dogs:
In: Ray, Street
Out: Minson (leg), Morgan (knee)

Cats
In: Callan, Wojcinski, Lonergan, N.Ablett
Out: Kingsley, King (hamstrings), Blake, Mackie (omit)

Can't believe we'd drop Blake. With King out this is prime opportunity to be giving Blake game time and growing his confidence. he's a perfect matchup for Street - both beanpoles who aren't good around the ground.

What!? This is crazy? Why has Kent been dropped? Injured? And why has Blake been dropped now that King's out injured? Mackie didn't do much, so I'm not surprised.
Woj in - Good. Lonergan in - Good. Callan in - okay. I don't know about Nablett though. I hope he does well.
Back to the rucks? Ottens didn't seem that alright last week. Now all the ruck work seems on his and Mooney's shoulders. And we need Mooney at full-back coz there aren't any other tall defenders.

Injured I think you will find...

good changes.

Ottens to ruck alot you would think, with Mooney helping him.

Woja and callan to play on the dogs small defenders and Tom and Nath make a more dangerous forwards line :thumbsu:

Scarlett Harley King Playfair Kingsley

The entire goal to goal big man line is out and Ottens and Egan are under injury clouds :(

We're ********ed.

Prismall robbed again :thumbsd:

That is true. The poor fella would be wondering what the ******** he has to do to get a game. Be a bit discouraging.

It all appears to hinge on the fitness of Egan. If he pulls out then Blake comes in and Mooney goes back. Go NAblett.

I suspect Egan will be a last minute withdrawal with Blake coming back in

That would be my guess as well.

Callan In is the only thing I like about the line up.

edit: Actually he isn't even an emergency  Mackie Spencer and Gardiner are. Spencer in for Egan then? :(

I don't know why Gardiner is an emergency when he didn't even play in the VFL last week, Blake should be because Ottens and Egan may be late exclusions. Then Spencer may be able to play his first game.

Great to see Blake out - hopefully he will find a heart muscle in the earlier game. Even if Ottens is out we are a better bet with Mooney in the middle and bringing Spencer in.

Having said that I reckon we are F***ED anyway - with our complete goal to goal line out injured we would have to do something pretty special to win.

Do not agree with you there. Sure Blake would have been done and dusted for pace, experience etc etc but i thought this would have been some time for him to develop on centre stage against Street and play more as our number one ruckman.
At the start of the year after round 1, i guessed he would be going out at round 4 for Riccardi. Half of that happened.

I too was initially shocked to see Blake dropped.
However now that I think about it, it makes more sense. The doggies are such a damn quick side the lumbering Blake could have been all at sea. He is as slow as a rock and does not even kick the footy don't forget.

So the blake move could be a winner. It all revolves around Ottens having a good game and giving first possession to our onballers. Now is the time.

However, The sight of our entire spine out is still quite depressing. When did this last happen to a club? I hope to hell Egan plays (and is fit enough to play).

I was only listening to the game on radio, 4th week in a row this week , so I haven't seen how bad Blake has been in the last couple.

He looked ok (for a developing player) in the NAB Cup, I'm surprised by this sudden avalanche of critiscism.

I just think that Blake has not given me any reason to suggest that he is worth perservering with - I know he is young but as I said in an earlier thread he does not show any determination or fight. That is not something that is learned - you are born with it.
