Seems only those not invited by their local club would actually come to another city on the vague chance of a draft or rookie list.

C'mon macca23 we are desperate:p

2 ruckman should be OK but anything more would be madness.

I would love to have Rookie List like this:

Aidan Parker
William Gayfer
Jacob Surjan
Ruckman 1
Ruckman 2

I would like to have

Aidan Parker
One Ruckman
3 mid-fielders/utilities

I'd gladly sacrifice one of the mid-fielders for Gayfer, but unless we take him in the pre-season draft he'll be gone before our pick in the rookie draft IMO.

We got Parker to come over and train with us last year and that in and under midfielder from Victoria who was rookie listed by Melbourne (and is still on their rookie list) whose name escapes me ATM.

The Melbourne rookie that trained with us last year was Adam Fisher. Very much a clone of David Kellett, with both having great skills, footy smarts and no pace.

Thats the one although Fisher's pace is slightly better than Kellett's.

Would Kellett be worth a gamble on the rookie list?????? Maybe Charlie Walsh can do something about his pace.

I know Paul Thomas was one of our rookies in 2002 but his 2003 form was fantastic. He player across half back flank with maturity and class. He generally uses the game well especially by foot. Would he be worth another look for a rookie list if he qualifies age wise??????

Both are probably worth a look at Stiffy.

Kellett is a really smart footballer. If his pace could be improved he'd be worth a shot.

Thomas did have a good year in 2003 but I don't think they'll go to the same well twice.
