If I were a Melbourne fan I would be drooling at the prospect of winning 4 games or less to get 2 top priority picks this year before the next 2 drafts are all GC and WS.

Gee, Carlton did it so you guys should take full advantage. Just keep blooding the young kids and getting games under their belt. Then get picks #1 and say #3 and #17 with a few more later on and your going to be a force of nature in coming years.

You picked up a power forward last year in Watts with a couple of midfielders like Jetta, Blease and Strauss. Small/Half Forwards are in place with Maric and Aussie along with Sylvia and Dunn across the half forward line. I like the look of your backline with Frawley, Martin, Garland, Cheney, Rivers, Pettard and Warnock. So Imagine what you could get with picks #1, #3 and #20. Your midfield looks promising with Grimes, Jones, Morton, McLean, Jetta, Strauss, Bennell, Blease, Bate, Bartram and hopefully Jurrah.

I would say another Key forward, another Ruckman, a gun Midfielder and a Dashing half back is probably on the menu.

Demons win 5 games or more this year- Top #3 pick roughly and then wait till second round.

Demons win 4 or less and you get two top #5 picks and maybe pick #17 pending on how bad Freo and West Coast TANK.

I don't want to get ahead of myself but Green has now scored 6 goals in 2 and a quarter games. Perhaps that attacking element of his is back? He's never been able to consistently combine his midfield and forward skills.
