That is one way of putting it. I go on a lengthy bender that would make Charlie Sheen blush, to try and forget the debacle that was the 'Golden Allies', and I've come back to realise two things... 1. The human body can deal with an inordinate amount of punishment. 2. I need somewhere to play cricket this season!

Thank God for that! I have been playing without a box ever since homer took off with the 'kit' box. No one around here has one that will fit.

Thank God for that! I have been playing without a box ever since homer took off with the 'kit' box. No one around here has one that will fit.

I left the kit box on, after my last innings Skipper Kelly was rather amorous in his celebrations of his bowling efforts. It served as better protection than a group of security guards.

Excellent choice of 12th man - I can't bat, can't bowl , bugger wicket keeping, but I excel with drinks & drinking. In fact, here's the menu

Yeah mate, started off near the bench for 3 quarters, then joined the drinkers at the hill for the last. Was a cracking game. Better team won, but a one goal margin would have probably best illustrated the difference in the sides.
