TEAM CHANGES

Out: Paul WHEATLEY (inj – calf

MELBOURNEfc will welcome back Co-Captain James McDonald for this Sunday’s clash with North Melbourne at the MCG.

McDonald returns to the team after missing the past three matches with a groin injury.

The Demons have also added Jeff White, Nathan Carroll and possible debutant Addam Maric, to the squad of 25 announced on Thursday afternoon.

The only out at this stage is Paul Wheatley who will miss with a calf injury.

The squad will be trimmed to a final team of 22, which will be announced on Friday afternoon at 5:00 pm.

The last time these two sides met back in Round Four it was North Melbourne who was victorious by 48 points at the MCG.

Hopefully Maric gets a game but you think it mite be at wona's expense. Also interesting Jamar in the ruck, so either P.Johnson or white to be included.

Jamar in the ruck, Bartram named on the ball. I thought we might see these players on the interchange and perhaps in line to be dropped. However, it appears this isn't the case.

On the bench: Johnson, Wona, Valenti and Martin.

Having said that, I wouldn't be suprised if Maric were to be given a game. I'd also like to see White injected into the side for Jamar, but it doesn't seem as if that's likely at this point.

Jamar was average last week, PJ was probably worse. PJ has had a few poor games in a row, so although i don't like playing Jamar ahead of PJ it's how they'll probably go this week. The 1 thing probably keeping Jamar in the side is the fact he's tackling like a monster, averaging 5 a game since coming back into the side. PJ has about 1

I'd like to see Maric get a game, he's put in a few solid performances for Sandy and I'm happy for it to be at Wona's expense. His output has been down the last few weeks and it wont hurt him to learn to fight for his spot.

Int: A.Maric, S.Martin, S.Valenti, J.White

IN: J, McDonald, A. Maric, J. White

OUT: P. Wheatley, PJ, A. Wonaeamirri

My bench would be : A.Maric, S.Martin, S.Valenti, J.White

I think it's time for White to show us if he's serious about playing on next year. He has the rest of the year to do that. PJ has been pretty good lately, definately done enough to be considered a decent back-up ruckman.

Wona out, after a quiet game and to give Maric a game. Again, Wona's been good but it's probably time for a spell in the magoos while Maric has been pushing pretty hard lately.

Martin, Valenti to play again hopefully. Can't see Bailey preferring Chopper to Martin considering his youth plan.

Hopefully we put up a good show in front of a crowd of 35K+
