I guess you missed the part early in the season where they changed the rules for the Maxwell hit.

Ryder got 2 for less contact but beat the charge.

Cousins was out cold and he looked in no mans land for a few minutes. The only thing that can save him is a good record and early plea. Not sure about his record.

It was Buddy's shoulder that made contact and his elbow was tucked in and not raised. In the end contact was made below the head (Huddo was saying it was in the neck, but it must've been the head for him to stay down). I thought it was a good hit...

Having said that who knows what the MRP will come up with. Either way I wouldn't be surprised.

..and it's come down to this, either beat Fremantle tomorrow or Hawthorn next week and we make finals for the first time in 5 years... can't wait!!!

Lets just flog Freo and be done with it. I don't think my heart could stand it coming down to the last round. I need to give it a break before, touch wood, finals.

I don't think it matters anymore with the elbow tucked in or out. The contact was flush on the head ( chin/cheek to be exact ) and I'd be absolutely amazed if he got off.

It would go against everything the AFL has said about that type of incident and they specifically changed the rules for it.

I'm confident of beating Hawthorn with or without Buddy but it's best if we get the deal done tomorrow and make next week non event.

i saw in a post earlier on, on this thread, that u's can jump us on the ladder. even if u win th next two games, u still cant get infront of us. You's are on 38 points. If you win you next two games will put you on 46 points. we are on 50 already.

So do we. This is without doubt the most important game we have played since we last played finals and i pray the bombers don't tempt fate and rely on a win against Hawthorn next week. We need to play 100% today, and sure up our finals series.
