If Tingay had any doubts about returning to the MFC, then surely they were put to rest by the awesome reception he recieved at the AGM. It's great to have him home.

Losing stinga when we did to injury hurt us more than any other player imo. He could have been anything if he didn't have that injury

We were lucky to get a great season out of him in 98. He wasn't quite at his best but he was one of the main factors in our rise from 16th to 4th. It's no coincidence that we were a joke in 96/97 without him & that we fell away so quickly in 99 once his injury flared up again.

He was plain awesome in 94 & 95.

Wholeheartedly agree with both of you. He was a great player yet we didn't see the best of him I feel. I remember the mark he took against adelaide, running full on towards a pack, turning around to get the mark one handed in the air. Just typifies his courage and brilliance.
