Methuselah
Debutant
Well, I went to the Daintree for the weekend and missed all the weekends footy - did not realise there is no foxtel in a wilderness lodge.
anyhow, a couple of weeks back I posted a note which suggested how we might do in the next 5 weeks.
So far,
Brisbane -we won
Port -we lost
The other 3, roos, tigers, and hawks drew a fair bit of debate.
On our performances in the last two games, and more importantly, the form of those three teams I now think we should
roos -win -apparently they were pretty bad the last four weeks.
tigers -win....if we can't beat them the way they are going right now, we never will! and we need to crack one away from home soon.
hawks -probably the biggest test of the three, but should be a win.
A look at the current table shows most teams are not far apart, but in recent times we have been beaten by three teams currently above us on the ladder. The three teams we play next are all below us on the ladder, and so on recent form (always a difficult prospect) it appears we should be well placed to go 6:3 by the end of round 9. If we can do that, we will be in the eight.
The coaching staff and the team have to maintain the momentum this week, and simply forget what happened at footy park.
