Was watching this the other day. Google have the clout to make it work.

It is going to be pretty interesting to see if it will 'just' be another protocol or if it could replace email as the default standard.

Looks amazing. Depending on how effective it is, that on-the-fly language translator could essentially end the global language differential online, which would be a massive social achievement in itself.

It's a brilliant idea and imo it's still a prototype for the future just depending in which form.

Can't see it taking out forums, but it could well supersede IM and Email one day.

was pretty poorly executed in my opinon.
they should have built it from gmail up.. so they just add functionality to the system that already has a stack of users.

not to mention the fact it just wasnt easy to use

it didnt allow external communication with non-wave email addresses

and if you wanted to use it to browse public forums, you had to know your search terminology, which the average joe blow doesnt wanna know about...

how many users with average technical knowledge can you see typing withublic before their search query?
