Was directly behind the umpire in the stands, ball was out. Nfi why he didn’t call it. Admiring the play perhaps? It was a damm good effort to be fair.
 
Watching live, as soon as he changed it to his left arm, you'd think it was going out. Other angle shows the boundary umpire right there. Go to go with the umpire on this one.

There was another game where the ball clearly bounced out of bounds and they called play on when a player picked it and took off.
 
I strongly believe umpires occasionally get "stunned mullet" syndrome and by the time they shake out of it play has continued and it is too late to blow the whistle.
Just like in this incident.
 
Definitely out almost as much as Edie Betts when he won goal of the year
