Mitch Marsh had the exact decision since he would have been a top pick in the draft. Reckoned he would play for the national team at which point it is a no brainer. iirc one year Brett Lee made more money being the designated 12th man than the highest paid AFL footballer. Before IPL.

He didn't say anything interesting, bar the information on how they convinced Leathal to take the job.

Could have had more on the trade ban.
 
Another one with great potential ruined by Mike asking way too many questions about Buddy and Goodes, especially after Pickering was on and addressed the Buddy one. If he didn't ask one question about Goodes, I would have been fine with that.

Would have been way more interested for him to ask questions such as:
What's it like to be in Sydney competing against League and Union?
How have they continually stayed in the finals and not bottomed out?
What does he think would happen if one year they finished 16th?
What about their relationship with the old South fans?
What about asking him on their relationship with the Giants?

Real waste....
 
Just finished this. As noted how they got Leigh Matthews was interesting. I need to watch it again because I want to hear again the timeline with Kurt Tippett. I understand he left himself an out when he said ( about Buddy) that he talked to managers, but I thought he said the first time he spoke to Kurt was after the 2012 GF and they flew out to meet him. Either that's a direct lie or it was management based , because the rumours were around all year in Adelaide.

Didn't get go on early days in a Sydney polo? He's probably one who actually deserves a second run but agree it would've been way more worthwhile if they'd waited a bit.

Bruns went running bitching & moaning to the papers, while Barney took his medicine like a man should.

Leigh Matthews gets protected so much in the media. No one brings up that he hit Bruns, or the fact that Brisbane Lions went to shit the minute he became a board member.
