John Elliott on Monday.
Had a run in with that flog in an Albert Park restaurant late 2014. What an entitled w***er.

Put him in his place in about 2 minutes. Had a couple at another table buy my wife and I a bottle of wine for doing so.

Get Jon Burke on open Mike, the bloke who whacked the umpire in the Army reserve Cup and then went after the spectators in the mid 80s :p

Mike's clearly struggling for guests now.

A former club president who systematically rorted the salary cap. Surely there's more worthy former players out there?
Do you want good players with dull stories, or campaigners with interesting ones?

Wonder if they'll let Jack smoke on the set.

Thank Christ Roger Shipton didn't stand aside for him, he buggered up Carlton enough, imagine what he would have done to the country.

Worse than any of the others have?

Didnt mind tonights, though most of the focus on the bad times

I actually thought it was easily one of the better episodes. Like him or loathe him, he's an entertaining character.

Well, judging by his willingness to ignore anyone or anything that doesn't agree with his desired outcome, his contempt for law and due process, and his total inability to admit fault, I'm going to go with a tentative 'yes'.

I quite liked that episode. I think he does admit fault at some things and was honest in answers, it's just he doesn't give a brass razoo.
He has contempt for people who get in his way of his desired outcome. Like the above poster said.
He will cheat and not feel guilt and still admit he knows it's wrong. I can see how he was successful for so long, morally corrupt at times.
Not a fan of him personally but SOS is harsh. I don't think he is all bad.

Would like to hear more detail about this.
I used to live on Withers St in Albert Park. Wife and I used to stroll to VicAsia on Victoria Ave for Yum Cha every other Sunday, especially in Summer.

Walked in one paticularly hot day, wearing a "dress singlet" (nice pattern, not a wife beater etc) and shorts and my GWS New Era cap.

Wifey was in short shorts and a singlet too. Sat at our table near-ish the front of the restaurant and as we walked in saw Elliottat the back of the restaurant in a blazer and trousers. Didn't pay him no mind.

Anyway, he gets a phone call and starts to exit the restaurant. Stops as he gets to my table and says, "You're a disgrace" I assumed it was to the person on the phone, but he pointed at me and said, "You! You're a disgrace! Wearing a singlet to a restaurant. What happened to manners and decorum?"

Without even blinking I shot back, "John. The day that I take lessons in decorum from an alleged white collar criminal, salary cap cheating, red wine skoling Alcoholic is the day I take lessons in morality from a Ping Pong Show Proprietor in Thailand"

The couple a few tables up absolutely burst in to laughter, so did the restaurant manager. Turns out they were Bombers fans and bought me and wifey a nice bottle of Sav Blanc.

I liked the Elliott episode, i was expecting Mike to go further with the salary cap stuff but maybe he couldn't for legal reasons.

Almost felt Viney could have gone on a bit longer:

- Viney's 98 was a brilliant year, first one as captain I think?
- More about his coaches (Northey, Balme, Daniher).
- YoYo years of 93-94, 97-98, 99-00.
- The brilliance of Jakovich, or even Farmer.
'Diamond' Joe Gutnick and Balmey's sacking
