I reckon it would be great if someone interviewed Mike, kinda like when Dave Chappelle interviewed James Lipton. After decades of reporting on the game, he'd have so many stories to share. Not sure who would be the ideal interviewer though...

Gerard Whately would do a good job of that...Open Mike with Mike Sheehan

Was disappointed for the first time with Open Mike last night. I feel Mike was too harsh on poor old Keka. Sam looked borderline sad as the interview ended - anyone else get that impression??

Absolutely. Why would you invite someone onto the show and then finish up by saying "Well Sam thanks for coming on the show. Not a great career but.."? I felt there was actually some hesitation from Keka to say thanks and I don't blame him.

I was looking forward to kekka and it was the first one i didnt enjoy. Seemed mike wanted to get him crying maybe? Talked down his career a bit, i dunno just didnt enjoy it.

Next week with warwick will be interesting, the guy is thick

Good idea id tune in, im sure he could flog a book to go with it

Not sure why he kept persisting that he was a wasted talent, then a thing flashes on the screen saying he made north melbournes team of the century.

I think he was more shocked that he only got in the best players once in a final when i thought he only played one bad final game which was the '74 grand final. I can understand how he feels not getting the recognition for the effort he put in.

He did play with some great players though, that Barassi era won 2 flags and with the talent they had it seems like they should of won 3.

Christ, that was weak.

A few minutes on Keka's playing career, then the rest is filled with hoary old stories such as the Truth photoshoot, his love of a good time and why he missed the 1975 Premiership photo.

Every time something interesting was raised - his injuries, his relationship with Barassi, falling out of love with the game or Michael's death - it was dealt with in double-quick time.

I wanted to know about his relationship with Tom Hafey, his time at Prahran, his involvement with the VFA as a broadcaster. An opportunity missed by Mike.

To make it worse, the second half is filled with an advertorial for the lamb industry. Mike's attempts to get Sam to state how much his public speaking services cost was cringe-worthy.

I love this series. When it hits the mark, Mike Sheahan gets some really insightful interviews. Kekovich was a missed opportunity.

some times Mike focuses on the most bizzare things.. i mean who gives a shit really? He costs what people will pay.

I didn't get the sense Keka felt upset by the interview, i think when Mike bought up his brother it was something he hadn't thought about in quite sometime and he was a bit rattled by it.
