This might seem a weird comment, but the Shaw interview seemed eerily rehearsed. Shaw just seemed to answer too quickly and precisely to everything Mike asked. He was particularly unnatural and seemingly unemotional when talking about deceased friends and family members.

Compare it to something like the Doug Hawkins one from last year (the best of the series IMO), and you'll see what I mean.

mike interviewing a fellow fox footyer, someone he would see in the corridors at work, does make it less natural than others

Haven't seen the Shaw one and there haven't been too many overall that I didn't enjoy. But I wish he'd put a focus on interviewing people who aren't currently employed in the football media (whether that's as a co-employee of Sheahan or otherwise), unless there's a really, really good reason to.

Shaw is really a Ventriloquist Doll.

i think that is just because Shaw doesn't think before he opens his mouth.

actually thought it was pretty good, there wasn't too much of Sheehan going on about how "he whacked so and so" etc.

The worst one this year was the Gary Pert one, that was bloody terrible.

Paul Couch.

Hope he doesn't ask his Geelong guest for the hundreth time, 'Who's the better footballer out of Gary Ablett Snr and Jnr?'.

He will mention that and blight being nutty

And ask if people ever sit on him

I am surprised at some of the responses in this thread - So much negativity about Mike's guests - Maybe this sums up the Australian culture.

That was one of my favourites.

Good questions. Good answers. Good bloke. Interesting subjects.

Am I being paranoid, or was Mike alluding to something with the West Coast big bodies?

He didn't just ask the question once, he stayed on the subject. If he was asking the question, he was asking it for a reason no?

The whispers about Collingwood and peptides under MM. Has he heard something about West Coast?

Mike was clearly alluding to the fact that people thought the Eagles were on something.

Couchy was pretty good just agreeing they were big but not making a big deal out of it.. He did mention they must have some good steak in Perth or something along those lines.

Mike interviewed Shaw on 3AW during on of the Bye rounds this year. . Pretty sure some of the questions on the show had been asked on radio so Shaw was just repeating a story he had covered with him before I guess. I heard the radio interview at the time and thought it was really good
