Yes, same with Holden Barina, and all those other types.

Unless it's the rally car, then no.

I've got the one in the picture (silver sedan)...but then I am a girl.

However generally I'd have to say the hatch is a girls car but sedan can be girl or boy.

Buy / drive whatever you want to.

I'm sure there's not that many people that will yell out on the streets or at traffic lights " Ha ha. Look there's a bloke driving a girl's car!"

People generally save car abuse for Volvo and Lada drivers.

I'd be happy for someone to explain what makes it a girl's car to me. I can't see it.

Probably because when most people think of a focus they think of a hatch. The sedan isn't girly at all but its probably not as well known.

Also because its like the new "laser" and that was always seen as a girls car.

The Focus is borderline girly.

Would anyone call this a girly car?

The stock Clio is pretty girly but the Sport is an absolute beast

Simple: because heaps of girls drive those sort of cars. Girls like small cars that look good (to them), are economical, and park easily. Power isn't a big thing for them either. Note the colours these cars come out in: they predom are colours that suit their market (mostly chicks).

There's no shame in driving one - it's not like you're wearing a pink shirt or pair of Dior sunglasses, but it's just a chick car. I'd prefer a 6 cylinder but have no qualms about driving a chick car (as long as it isn't purple with a bubble design on the side).

Fair enough. The Ford Focus for a small car is actually quite bulky and roomy. It is also reasonably powerful. There is no speed limit in the NT and my car sits on 150 comfortably(I know speed does not necessarily equate to power but anyway). I have a silver Focus. Call me a girl but I look for economy in a car and the Focus certainly provides it.

On that note since I have been driving a silver car I have noticed that there seem to be a lot of silver cars these days. I was in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago and I reckon close to 25% of the cars there are silver.
