Even if true I’m pretty sure Children count as members and I’m sure if their parents are signing them up at birth these kids are not stopping being members any time soon.

Maybe we even get to 150k members 9 months after grand final this year ;)

LOL grasping at straws there C9, spoke with him.....a while ago.
That's literally going to do nothing except at the end of close games. The two wings can station themselves in the defensive half, and teams can have replacements ready to run up to the wing ASAP. The only thing it stops you from doing is sending 4 or 5 spares down back in the last 30sec.
in a close game with 25 seconds left, i am conceding the free in the middle and send all my forwards back to create a 12 on 6 scenario and if my forwards opponents follow then who gets the free.

SEN salt city.
Pies still tryna say they are the biggest club in the land.
One guy came up with a conspiracy theory and reckons that we only got 100k members because of the celebrations from the Grand Final ended up with babies popping up around now (9-10 months later) :drunk:.

Found a photo of that flog...
Well .... I actually had a colleague at work last year that is a Norf supporter but lives in Richmond. Said he was in Richmond for the Premiership celebrations with his mates, got trashed, woke up the next day with something like a $700 charge on his credit card ... bought a Richmond membership for this year!!! (I'm unsure where the hell this happened )
Funny thing is, he popped into work a while back and was talking footy and was referring to Richmond as 'us'!!! He paid the money, he's one of us now!!!

Then stop asking for home games at the MCG and play essendon pies and hawks at kitty litter park, oh but you dont want that which is why the AFL will tell you to GAGF.

Actually it's a good change. Should appease the whingers while not actually changing anything.
I just worry about the gradual desensitisation. Accept this now and then we have zones in 10 years instead of next year.

But anyway, in the short term, this particular change benefits the fittest club in the league.
Who's that again?

Don't worry, I won't be desensitised. I'll always have the 2017 GF DVD to remind me of where we came from.

Did you know they are doing this to prevent congestion but in effect they are actually creating it and they dont even realise it and here is why.

Under normal current starting positions there would only be 6 players total inside the arcs, by bringing in this shit they are doubling that to 12 thus minimising the room for a forward to lead into, it will create more packs and less one on ones, ******* idiots have no brains.

That also suits a small crumbing fwd line like ours, and a flexible backline.

You'd think a thorough and comprehensive trial would be in order before a change to the top-tier comp.

Could be a time to bring back a one off state of origin series so it's been trailed by genuine AFL standard teams.
That or at least a couple of pre-seasons worth.

Whilst I don't give any thought to these "let's keep footyball on the agenda through the World Cup/Wimbledon and the dull end of the season" clickbait that will go nowhere...

I couldn't help but laugh when I heard that in the small panel that organises the rule changes they have Stephen Hocking, Chris Scott, Patrick Dangerfield and James Podsiadly lol. They may as well go down to Corio and get a gobjob from Brian Cook and just sign off on everything he wants that suits the Catters.
