Seriously, can anyone remember the last time, with the game in the balance, Richmond got a soft free kick right in front of goal to seal the game?
never happened.

:100: - I swear I can never remember it and now in my fifth decade as a Richmond supporter
Yep never happened , what usually happens is we get ahead by 20-30 points dependant n the maggot umpiring and we will get 4-5 frees against us which all result in goals and momentum of game swings

Good analysis of the similarities between Dimma's Suns and Richmond.

It's funny that Dimma thinks he can win a flag playing a similar style of footy, especially in the stand rule era. I guess it proves that Dimma knows nothing about the game.

Yep, we've all seen that happen! The other one we see all the time is the free kick that the opposition gets (normally after missing a clear free kick to us!) with about 50 seconds to play in the quarter that inevitably results in a goal.

What's with coaches providing analysis? They actually make sense and provide insight. Not what I watch the footy shows for.

Back in the day we knew that it wasn't the contested ball, it was the next (clean) ball that mattered. So we set up to win that next ball, or (more importantly) create a structure that we gain control. Now rule changes etc and winning contested ball is more important. Plus, they have better contested mids.

So Dimma has a premiership winning game style, within changed rules, and a different squad. And he has adjusted for that. Almost like he is a good coach who knows what he is doing.

They win clearances, we never did so makes sense why he thinks the same game style will hold up.

Collingwood have been copying our style for years now but media make it out like it's all new.

Haha David Schwartz said umpiring was fine last night , this is the problem media like him and David I ate a whole sheep king saying shit like this , nobody got the balls in media to call it out
a nervous and relieved Schwatta obviously had big buck$ riding on the cats and wants to keep his job.

The clubs are to blame on this one for sure. The sponsor dollars were massive at the start and now it has showed it is a bad return on investment
The clubs simply cannot afford further investment in AFLW.
It is damaging the AFL teams' footy department spend, cutting costs, cutting corners.
Something's gotta give.

That's not accurate. They get a separate cap for spending on the men's and women's it's not a matter of prioritising one over the other

Now the AFL is making decisions around that spending separation but the clubs definitely aren't

I remember Dusty getting a soft one in 2017 prelim vs Heath Shaw

I almost felt guilty

Corrupt biased AFL umpiring yet again, altering the results of "close" games.
Home games for Geelong and Collingwood.
Home wins.
Wouldn’t say Collingwood get “Home” Games. Geelong on the other hand.

Coaches who adapt to changes in the game and personnel are wasting their time. They'd be better served by whining about umpiring, playing the victim, and indulging in conspiracy theories.
