Was totally reckless, dont think he did hit the chin, but still very dangerous.
Had he made serious contact would have got at least four weeks.
I did re-watch it a couple of times 5 min ago on YouTube. I am pretty sure his shoulder did hit chin too. He is very lucky indeed.

If you want to take it a step further, If we count Brisbane as Fitzroy and Sydney as South Melbourne - There's never been a fully interstate grand final.

So us playing one of Freo, Adelaide, West Coast, Port, GWS or Tassie for a Flag would be the truest test of Victorian melts.
Hadn't considered that. It looks like it's really just us and Fremantle that could make it a reality this year. That would be very interesting to see how Melburnians react to neither GF team having any affiliation with Victoria.

Norf playing very well against Sydney
Fair play to North for putting up that kind of effort against the high flying Swans. The Roos have certainly improved a lot.

I was looking at our fixture earlier today and gained a bit of confidence in the fact that 2 of the 3 teams we've lost to this year look like near certainties to finish in the top 4 (Swans & Hawks). It's really just the Demons game that we should've won and they played really well that day + we were coming off the bye in that game at the MCG. Prior to the season starting, I would've said the Geelong and GWS games worried me, but we showed up and performed solidly in both of those games.

So I guess what I'm really trying to say is that I think we're going reasonably well so far this season given who we've played to date. We've beaten the mid/lower ladder teams we've faced and have really only had one slip up against the Dees. The away losses to the Swans and Hawks are completely justifiable IMO because we're not quite playing at that top 4 level yet. We just need to keep it going and beat another mid ladder team like St Kilda tonight to prove we truly are a top 6 team this season and hopefully we can work our way into a high ladder position later in the season.

Watching Cadman without Hogan is ugly still with Stringer, Greene and a couple talls. Maybe the gap to Walter isn’t enormous like some making out to be

(Cadman probably going to kick 5 in the second half now)

Midfield coach Voss time! Can’t be worse than Grigg
It would be a bizarrely full circle moment for our club / city + Vossy if it happened - for several reasons. For those who don't know, Vossy was supposed to be our inaugural coach and even did media for us back in early 2008 (see pic below) when it was looking like a sure thing that he'd take the job. But it goes back further than that. Vossy grew up in Beenleigh in the 80s back when it was a suburb of the Gold Coast and was drafted to the Bears in late 1991 when they were still based at Carrara. He played his first ever home game for the Bears at Carrara in 1992.

After almost 20 years since we nearly appointed him as our head coach and 35 years since Vossy landed at Carrara as a 17 year old prodigy from Beenleigh in the northern outskirts of the Gold Coast, things may well come full circle and Voss finds his way back to Carrara. Grigg is highly rated by footy people in Victoria and Voss had a lot of success as a midfield coach at Port Adelaide so it wouldn't be unreasonable to suggest they could swap positions or Grigg ends up as the head coach at another club in Victoria (like Essendon) and Vossy ends up replacing him as our midfield coach.

Maybe our win wasnt that good 🤣

Just keeping it real. Suns were 20 points from being called a basket case.. (v GWS) It was a horrible exhibition. Ive seen cleaner u12s games in the wet. seriously.

The season began with high expectations. Easy early draw leading up to the bye, should have propelled us to the top 2. Betting agencies predicted we'd be last to lose a game..

As it stands we are 6th, have a horror draw after the bye, and the few 'easier' games towards the end are against teams that will be fighting hard to make the 8 (or the 10).

To win a GF, one just about has to be in the top 4. Nearly a Zero chance of that now. AI says 40% chance Suns wont make the top 8, based on current results and future games.

If Suns find the right recipe of players that deliver consistent effort mixed with the correct talent available, the end of the season will at least be interesting.

Sadly, we are at the point of 'get it right for next year', already. The draw after the bye is horrifying. Winning a comp from wild card or 8-7th position isnt going to happen. Just keeping it real.

I am confused. Are you talking about Geelong (your AFL club choice on BigFooty) or Suns?

Personally, I didn't have us in GF contention this year.

I thought a top 6 finish with a home final win would be progress IMO, which is still well within reach. Progress isn't always linear either, especially with the 1 step back, 2 step forward mantra the club is putting out (whether you agree with it or not).

Our bottom end of our list is not the greatest/too young and we are a bit up and down at the moment form wise, but we should have enough to win out before the bye and then we get into a run of tough games, but I want to see us against the best teams. Even if we equal our W/L from last year, that is progress with a much harder fixture.

We are two games away from Freo/Swans WTF are you on about zero percent chance? Its not even half way through the season yet, i thought i was pessimistic 🤣. Dimmas premiership sides teams have never peaked early. Im still backing them in for a solid back half of the year. Some of the best teams this year have had average skills, we are chalking up some wins even in average form so thats a tick in the box, just need it to click after the bye for a proper run at it.
