The most stupid thing we could do as supporters at the moment is to ask the board for spuds head before the end of season. At the end of the season is fine if he doesn’t finish top 5 then I agree he should leave. If we sack him now we won't win another game for the season and we would probably finish bottom of the ladder. If we wait till the end of season we will win more games than what we did without him and we would be more than likely get a quality coach at the end of the season. Lets bite the bullet as supporters cop it on the chin and wait till the end of the season. I know it’s ****ing hard I haven’t seen a GF yet with the yellow an black in it. If we do the stupid thing and sack him early we will be talking about the same **** in 5 years time cause we’ll have another spud.

blackcat no-one really here (besides DDT) is disputing what you are saying. Reality is we would prefer to not have him now, but we will get no-one in return at this point in time. Pretty much everyone agrees that Spud just doesn't have the minerals when it comes to coaching an AFL side. End of the season makes sense, then we can surf around for someone that's up to it, who would actually want to come.

DDT, no-one is personally attacking the bloke, he's just not up to the caper. Many other suitable candidates are out there for our club (a few of them being regular posters on this site I have noticed). No real need to get too defensive.

No point in talking coaches right now. Geelong is in the mix and possibly bulldogs looking for a new coach. There just isnt enough good quality ones around. My guess is we'll definately see Garo O'Donnell and Mark Harvey in the mix next year for a senior role.

Spud, rhode, Thompson wont be sleeping easy at the moment.

Rhode is only in the 2nd year of his deal, is cheap, and has had his team close to winning both their games. They will probably stick with him for another year.

Thompson has a year to run on his contract and with their financial situation they are unlikely to pay him out. The management actually quite likes him.

Peter Schwab is one in bother. If he doesn't deliver top 6 and win a final he might be gone. Coming out of contract makes him vunerable.

Gary Ayres is also out of contract and it is hard to know just what he needs to do to keep his job. Probably anything less than 4th and they will feel that they want to go in a new direction.

Neale Daniher is also out of contract, has had ages and again another mid-ladder finish might not be enough.

With so many potential changes a club might be tempted to make an early move if they are keen on someone like Wallace or Eade.

Personally I think we should wait until the end of the season when I think Ayres, O'Donnell and Harvey will all be in the mix.

I'm sick of being the laughing stock of the AFL. I'm finding it really hard to keep my little bloke following the tiges when his mates follow the bombers, saints, pies.....

This year is crunch year for all at the club. Players included.
I believe the club has made a huge mistake in allowing richo to become as big as he has. He's too fat and has slowed right down.
Big mistake and the need to get him fitter. Look at Lynch.
I too am sick of us being the laughing stock, and danny does have to go no question about that, if we dont make any decent progress this year under frawley and the club give him a contract extension then thats when the members need to stand up and voice their opinions, gather a rally at punt road right outside the main office doors and when Casey shows his ugly mug the bad fruit, chants and boos should be directed at him.

after reading a few posts it has got me thinking

this is what i think may take place:

Hawks sack Schwab for not making finals and appoint Wallace

Rhode stays with bullies

Ayres gets the boot, Crows appoint Mark Harvey

Sheedy gets 2 year contract extension with bombers

Thompson stays at Geelong

Richmond dont renew Frawley's contract, start search for new coach.

Melbourne dumb Daniher and appoint O'donnell.

Richmond still dont have a coach, but get a flood of interest from:

Hutchinson
Brittan
Daniher
Eade

Richmond 2005 & 2006 season ............... DOOMED

Coach, this is the absolute worse case scenario, and judging by our administration's previous coaching appointments, it would be just like them to start the search after all the best coaches had already been tapped 6 months before the season ended.

That's how we ended up with that dud Frawley. By the time they got around to speaking to Malthouse, he laughed at them. He asked them whether they ever bother to reading newspapers. Fatboy McGuire had signed him up 6 months before.

If we end up with Brittain as 2005 coach, I wont be rallying outside Punt Road. I'm going to form a picket line outside one of Casey's old people's homes. Hit the bastard where it hurts at his place of business.

Keep Frawley until the end of the season, but start the coaching search NOW. McGuire managed it well over at the scum and no-one accused them of sacking Tony Shaw, even though that's what they did.

That would be so depressing you would have to laugh.
LMAO.John Elliot claims Briitain is in awe of the great players
on his team, that's why he a-holed him.

Having said that,he'd still be better than Danny Failure.
