I admit when I see the 21 out there as a Ruckman gives me a Flashback to Guy RichardS

What a last quarter. His ruck work was beast mode. To clunk a mark and show the composure to kick the goal was impressive.

As soon as Cameron went back into the middle in the last quarter, Carlton won the clearance and kicked a goal.
in 2026 Steene been miles better then Cameron at Center Bounces

He’s going to be a very good player for us. He impacts the game at Center bounces and can take a mark in the F50.

He seriously should be playing 70% game time. He takes 80% of Center bounces and then just swaps with DC if he has to.

He looked like a serious threat in front of the ball.

Never thought we'd have the problem of not knowing where to play Darcy Cameron

He didn’t have Briggs or Pittonet to jump over those games

Should have been playing from the start of the season. That is not a hindsight call either.

And he should have been resting forward more often. Has shown more potential than Buller when playing forward.

Last week we failed to make the most of Sean Darcy being off the ground. In fact we allowed Jackson to dominate.

I’d be putting serious forward training into this kid. Looks a very, very good prospect.

Modern Paul salmon.

Kinda looks like a mini Mason Cox. With that short hair, whack some glasses on him and you’d fool me.

Which one? There was about 5 or 6 in the last quarter. Just masterful.

Watching live, with our momentum building and building in the last, Oscar’s taps down to Nick looked like AI. I thought I was seeing things ha ha. It’s so rare for us to win consecutive clearances like that, that it had the air of unreality.

Watching on the tv I kept thinking I was watching a replay of the previous centre clearance!

Was getting Déjà vu watching Steene tap it repeatedly to Nicks feet.

Should have been blooded late last year to get a taste of it, rather than going back to Cox!

Careful - the Cox cult will come after you.

I’m not sure about last year, but I am sure that the coaches have put a lot of time into Oscar. Looks like a classic big man development scenario where they worked and worked on him - and it’s paying off.

The problem is if one of our rucks doesn’t get a clear hit to advantage , our clearance work is one of the worst in league
Love what Steene is doing but our midfield coach really needs to get to work so it is not so boom or bust

Oscar is definitely proving to have been worth the wait,he would have been in sooner if not for injury. I have always been keen on getting him in as soon as possible. Right from his first days in the VFL you could tell he had great hands and was not afraid to fly for a mark.

Not only does he really jump at centre bounces but he puts the ball in great positions also, the best thing about our season so far has been Oscar,we probably would not have won last night if not for Nick and Oscar and the partnership they are just starting.
