OT:Clipsal 500

So now we dont have to worry to much about footy for the next month or so, thought I would turn our attention to a HUGE event next w/end in Adelaide..................The Clipsal 500, me I love this event and Adelaide turns it on every year, I havent been able to go for the last couple of years due to work commitments and the same again this year.

So who is going???? Who are you Ford or Holden??? Who is your Favourite drivers???

Have gone every year with this year being no different. Got myself a seat in the Brock straight grandstand (been there twice now). Great viewing spot of both straights. Just a bit worried about the weather forecast....around 35-40 degrees for first 3 days!!

Well I'm going all 4 days got the thursday and friday off work YAY. GOO Holdens can't wait. I'm interested too see what happens with Kelly and Lowndes.

Yes the years Ive gone its always been around that sort of temp, hopefully I can get there next year.

They are too professional for anything outside the rules.

There have been plenty of reasons in seasons gone with other drivers having competetive disputes, but they all get on with their jobs.
ALA Skaife/Ingal; Murphy/everybody else; Jones/Morris; Brocky/Johnson; Moffatt/Beechy.

In F1 there is always tangles between drivers, but they sort themselves out soon afterwards.

Trust me, the stewards will be watching for anything untowards.

Yeah for sure. Just though Lowndes might be intching for suttle payback. Then again he didn't finish last years clipsal. Soo he would probably wanna finish this year. Hopefully its not 1st haha.

First time this year Going for Holden, and managed to get some seats in the brabham straight grandstand.

Ford to continue their recent dominance of the Clipsal 500 with Lowndes finishing 1st on the Sunday ahead of Tander and Frosty Winterbottom. Rick Kelly will be clearly leading only to be taken out by a slower car as hes being lapped. Oh how I hope for that.

Nah just hope theres some good racing with a ford win at the end of it all. Bit concerned about the weather forecast so I might stay out of my seats as long as possible to avoid being completely in the sun.

don't know too much about the sport, but I'll be there all 4 days. as I was last year.

unsure what the stand was called but it was the last one along the pit straight and I got ********ing burnt on Saturday and especially Sunday.

can it not be hot this time please?

i'm sitting at the stand on the corner closest to Grenfell street this year I think, anyone know which one I'm talking about?

Planning on staying for the Eskimo concert (yep, eskimo's are throwing a concert..) like a bit of their stuff, particuarly 'Sarah' and I may stay after the race on Sunday as well.. the Rogue traders are playing then.... right? not the biggest fan of their's but their stuff is ok.
