We had real load thunder and bright lightning, no more than a Km away at around 1:00 - 1:15 Followed by some real heavy rain for around 20 minutes

Shhh it's Adelaide AAMI, we have to keep ourselves amused somehow 
The office I work in has a view of the whole of Adelaide so the lunchtime entertainment kept us amused up here.
This was only fork lightning yesterday so not as spectacular as the other night as that was sheet lightning and lit up the whole sky. That storm was pretty much over where I live for about an hour so I spent a lot of the time trying to coax my dog out from under the bed. My sister's dog, who had never witnessed lightning or thunder before, spent the whole time running around the backyard trying to catch what ever was making the noise apparently. I would have loved to seen that!

Very nice storms yesterday, being a part time chaser myself there is nothing better than some decent storm action, lightning being my clear favourite. Plenty of close bolts, some shackling cracks and explosive bangs, pure music. High based nature of storms we get here makes the lightning generally more spectacular. Pity they started so many fires 
Gotta love the storm season, November usually delivers. Last sat nights was definitely a much more poweful system and was better even tho ti was at night. If yesterdays was at night, still would have been pretty good. Just rain was main difference, 1mm here yesterday compared with 20.8mm from those sat night storms.
