Read somewhere that Andy's btother, Max, has registered for this year's draft. Anyone know anything about him?

Would he be someone we look at?

Very similar to Andy apparently but is a left footer - which we don't have enough of.

I would think we'd be a big chance to take him with our second draft selection, however I think it would be highly unlikely he'd be there.

It would be great though to have both brothers, I just think for their sake.

Solid player, defensively excellent like Andy but lacks his brother's attacking style. Won't be a star. Could be a good 3rd tall. I assume he'll go 50-70.

I doubt we'll look at him. Just not what we need. We have plenty of tall backs.

VB precedent, they wont let his last name get in the way of making a measured call. Hopefully he's good enough because Otten's all class and another like him wouldn't go astray at all.

Na he's 191cm so 1cm shorter. As mentioned he's a left footer with a slightly more natural/fluent kicking style. Is almost a carbon copy of Otten. I said last year 2 Andy Otten's would be awesome in our team. But now in 2010 with all the running utilities that we have in Otten, Henderson, Gunston and Shaw ranging between 190-192cm, there just isn't a need for him. Would rather another quick midfielder at pick 61 like Cameron Johnston from Geelong Falcons.

I feel similarly, I say pick him if he is the best available player at 61, if not then all the best to him at wherever he ends up.

The name can not be the deciding factor in picking him up, we have let van Berlo's & Bock's brothers slip through before and whilst Jay seems to have some talent Christian just got delisted.

I would not be suprised to see the crows draft a project key tall position player at 61, one you wouldnt expect to play for at least two years. its not often you get any quality midfielders left that high in the draft.
