I've noticed that the opinions regarding Brads departure vary.
On one hand some are glad to rid themselves of yet another overpaid, underacheiving hackworth.
On the other there are some who believe Otto will go on to
the type of things we expected from him (if not for the Frawley factor)

Personally i think he will kick on,

Ottens has always been a reasonable player and always will . He just dosen`t have the goods that deserve to be paid 500 k a year and he is not a marquee player. With our finances the way they are at the minute , i reckon it was a 50- 50 decision between letting him go to free up some cash and purely because he wasn`t worth , performance based , as opposed to "potential" what he was asking for

I believe the trade was a win-win for both clubs , he is going to a club where he wont be under as much pressure to be a "lynchpin" as he was at punt rd. and he can afford to be a bit of a front runner which i think will suit his style . Look out though if dosen`t perform , he does have that pressure on him .

And our benifits are we get two really good young kids for him and a bit of cash is freed up , if he kicks on then good on him , but i don`t think he is the type of bloke and player we could have re-built the side around

theres no denying the guy can play, but personally he doesnt seem to want to win hard enough..

meaning he is a soft touch, lacks mongrel for a big guy, so yes he has the talent but he should be dominating games.

dont know if he will get that at geelong but its his personality so he will be a good player on his talent alone but will he dominate games cant see it.

Good last couple of responses. Anger and feeling the need to call him an out-and-out dud aside, I agree with both.

Will probably enjoy a stellar season or two with Geelong, before his pea heart takes hold again and relegates him to the level he exhibited in his last years at the Tigers.

Can honestly say I am happy that he has moved on and can't wait to see what we will do with the first round picks we stole for him.
