How do we all think they went in their debut seasons at Melbourne?

I'll go through player by player.

Daniel Bell: A finger injury ruined any chance he had of playing senior footy in 2003, but the signs are good. Did well at Sandy in the first half of the year. Could do an Adam Schneider and burst onto the AFL scene in 2004.

Nick Smith- Slow and heavy, but boy can he mark! Probably the best pack mark at the club. Also has the ability to kick the ball 55m, which is a bonus. Him and Miller could be our CHF and FF for the next 10 years.

Jared Rivers: Unknown in the Pre Season, but Jared has shown some very good signs in the VFL. Could become a Ben Hart style play in the defensive half for many years to come.

Gary Moorcroft: Will be delisted. Hasn't been given much of a chance, but didn't do much at senior level this year.

Cameron Hunter: Has a long way to go, but he has obvioud talent and will be a great player at the MFC. Very good effort to play 2 senior games with his 64kg frame this year.

Ryan Ferguson: 17 games in his debut season is a very good effort. While he struggled in a few matches, he showed great promise in others and dominated when dropped back to the VFL.

It was a very good effort by Craig Cameron to pick up 5 quality youngsters in the one draft. You may think I'm being biased, but all of the above can play (Moorcroft an exception).

I personally think Bell and Smith will be the best of the lot.

I loved the way he took that strong mark today went back and dobbed it from 55 metres out, I had gosebumbs, he could be very good in the future.

I saw a bit of Nick Smith play for Sandy and I was very impressed. Awesome marks he took, huge kid and a nice kick. Wait for him Miller and Neitz to play together, alongside Farmer and Robertson.

:D :D :D
