Melbourne
B Whelan Carroll Ferguson
HB Wheatley Rivers Moloney
C Green Bruce Johnstone
HF Pickett Miller Yze
F Robertson Neitz Davey
1R White McDonald McLean
INT Jamar, Bate, Brown, Sylvia

This is the team I'd love to see take the park come finals time. As you can see I've favoured experience here.

A lot of our backline needs to return - Wheatley is an experienced head I think in our best 22, Ferguson is a tall - Carroll, Rivers, Whelan are obvious musts. Moloney adds class

Midfield and forwards stay the same with the exception of Miller who I feel must return at Dunn's expense. Solely because he is a bigger body and probably better than Dunn at the moment. Tough one.

Bench - Jamar - obvious, the other three really are a tough to pick. I picked Bate because he's just a gun, Brown an experienced player can be thrown into defence and Sylvia because he's quite versatile and could go forward.

The likes of Bartram, CJ, Dunn have been brilliant thus far but in finals we need experience I think

Bizzell is the mystery - I'd like him in the team but I'm not sure he's a necessity these days. If he comes in and hits form, he'd be a starter.

Anyway, your thoughts?

B: Whelan Carroll Fergeson
HB: Brown Rivers Bartram
C: Green Bruce Johnstone
HF: Pickett Miller Davey
F: Robertson Neitz Yze
R: White McDonald McLean
Int: Jamar Moloney Bate Wheatley

It was really hard to leave out Sylvia but I decided to give the last bench spot to Wheatley who is very versitile. Bizzell, if in form, could play Wheatley's role.

B: Whelan - Carroll - Wheatley
HB: Bartram - Rivers - Green
C: Johnstone - McDonald - Pickett
HF: Yze - Miller - Dunn
F: Davey - Neitz - Robertson
R: White - Bruce - McLean
I: Jamar - Bate - Sylvia - Moloney
E: Brown - Ferguson - Bizzell

This is the best thus far, mainly because Miller can always be thrown into defense for the third tall spot back there, leaving Dunn to move from flank to CHF.

Only thing I'd really change is moving Dunn to teh pocket and Robertson to HFF as Dunn is less likely to run in front of Neitz.

My best 22 presuming entire list bar P.Johnson is fit for finals.

B: Whelan Carroll Wheatley
HB: Pickett Rivers Bell
C: Bruce McLean Green
HF: Yze Miller Sylvia
F: Davey Neitz Robertson
R: White Johnstone McDonald
I: Jamar Read Dunn Moloney

- Opted with Dunn over Ferguson and Holland as I feel that if needed Miller can go back and and forward line will still be potent enough. Miller, like Holland can also play on the likes of Gerigh and Richardson.
- Took Read as the tagger, just because i feel that Bartram may taper off come finals time and Read adds a bit more physicality.
- Think we can only play 2 of Bell, C.Johnson, N.Brown, Wheatley. Gone with Bell and Wheatley as they offer a bit more versitility but not much would be lost in playing the other 2 over either of them.
- Icluded Sylvia as he could be a gamebreaker come finals time and his best is well and truly good enough for our best 22. Likewise Moloney adds a bit of grunt. Both strong bodies witch is needed come finals time.
- Have bolded the automatic selections IMO.

I reckon that Bate would be more handy coming off the bench than Dunn.

Yeah you may be right but is our forward line stong enough if Miller has to go back?

No way Bell is in our best 22. Can't even get a gig now.

Well I'd rather just play Fergeson, or atleast Holland, and not worry about Miller going back. Bate could possibly play a key forward role as a roaming CHF?
