Agree been fantastic

Heck go back to 1996

What have we got 2 flags
3 runners up
2 minor premiers
17 finals appearances i believe

Fantastic

Well said. I couldn't be prouder of the boys for what they have given us over the past 4 years, let alone since 1996. And despite all the adversity from the AFL and d*$khead Eddie, we keep proving ourselves worthy. That says a lot to me about the character of our club. Fingers, toes and legs all crossed for a great upcoming final series.

Probably been one of the best era's in how history and been won of the best lists we've had (more so 2012-2014) and you can't complain on any era that brings a flag....but you sort of feel that a 2nd flag needs to be won to justify/vindicate it as our greatest era.

Well as the title says tonight marked 4 years in a row finishing in the top 4.

Flag in 2012
Prelim in 2013
Runner up in 2014
2015??

Whatever happens its been a great 4 years for the club where its increasingly difficult staying at the top.

Now thats wheat i like to see.

As negative as many have been throughout the course of the season, we only finished one game behind Freo in top spot.

That's brilliant from our club considering we haven't had the best of luck with injury & considering our trade ban.

We are a team of warriors that gets the most out of ourselves.

Kizza:thumbsdown:
2 to 3 weeks.
Should we be good enough to make the GF, it would be foolish to take an underdone Jack & Parker into it.
Too risky.
Craig Bird was our sub in last years GF after having a medial strain a few weeks earlier.
Sam Reid carried a medial into the GF as well.

I love this club. Way too much as my girlfriend would say :p

How good has it been since 1996? And every year since i can remember people have written us off.

I think it starts from the top, you have good professional people run a club the way it should be and you get consistency across all facets.

It felt like a pretty unremarkable season (spoiled much?!) but one more win and we would have finished first.
..

And we really should of won the tigers game at half time and arguably the dogs could of been clear first

In B4 someone puts the words 'End of" in this thread title.

It's a special time to be a Swans supporter. Stay positive and enjoy the ride now because it can only get far worse...and has done before.

Other posters might have already known this, but I was staggered when I went trawling through kennedy's stats to provide some support for my inclusion of Joey in the "best-22 of post-2000 debuts" thread on the MB. The guy has been #1 for both contested possessions and clearances for four of the past 5 seasons, and #2 & #3 in the seasons he missed out.

That is insane. I knew he was good, but that is an absurd level of performance. And he racks up good numbers in front of goal, comparable to other topline mids who play far more time on the outside (Fyfe, Bartel, Swan).

Our era is the era of JPK.

Far and away our best, most important & most consistent player of the recent period. You could probably argue he's been our consistently best player since the team came to Sydney, tbh, and that's including Plugger.

Beast.

JPK is the horrendously underrated, seriously he is an absolute beast, performs week in week out (when was the last time he got less than 20 possessions)? His strength is underrated to, he bullocks through packs
