Round 16 Sydney TD: Came off a pretty bad loss in the end against the Hawks though were only a couple goals down at 3/4 time. Don't like losing 2 in a row let alone 3 and before round 14, were in blistering form. I expect them to come out very hard which will make it a tough ask for one but hopefully we can respond to that challenge.
17 Western Bulldogs TD: They play Geelong this week who are expected to be without Kelly, Ablett and Ling which gives them a great chance to win. That would mean the dogs have a fantastic chance to get closer of achieving the minor premiership by knocking us over. They are firing and I don't think we stand much of a chance. Only that we beat them last year and in a practice game this year gives me a little glimmer of hope.
18 Adelaide AS: Burton demolishes us every game so without his absence obviously helps but Adelaide in Aami is never an easy challenge no matter who they are missing. Their finals campaign is getting very shaky and really none of the teams outside the 8 can afford to lose any game, especially winnable games like this.
19 Port TD: Clearly our best chance of winning in the run home. Beat them comfortably at the dome last year and beat them on their home turf this year. Though we know that when Port fires they are a side to be reckoned with and you only have to watch the game earlier this year when they beat Essendon at the dome by 10 goals to see how damaging they can be.
I expect a win but you never know which Port side will turn up.
20 Kangaroos TD: By this time in round 20, the race to the finals will be blistering with heat. I expect them to be a team hanging around the 8th-9th spot around then so this would be a must win game for them. We don't have a great record against North in the modern outings so hopefully we can make it look a little cleaner and have a win.
21 Brisbane Lions G: The Gabba is not a happy hunting ground for us. They tore us open a new one earlier this year at the dome and they will probably do it again at the Gabba. We can never contain Brown, let alone Bradshaw as their second option so it will be a very tough task to win interstate. Hopefully Waite can do a bit better then he did against Brown last year..
If essendon can beat them comfortably, I'm sure we can win as well but that depends on how well Brown and Bradshaw play and how much of an impact our midfield make.
22 Hawthorn TD: At this point in time, I'm already penciling this game as a loss. They will be roaring for September and would love one last big win before they start their path to a hopeful premiership. Can't see how we will contain Buddy, Roughead and Williams. Wasn't a great night last time we played them but barring we don't make finals, we can finish the season off on a high note and take a very unexpected victory.
All together an extremely tough run home since I can only really see 1 big chance of a victory. Hopefully I am proved wrong though. I don't expect finals nor really feel the need to play them as I think we have already come a very long way in terms of development. I would be rapt with 10 wins so if we managed to sneak 3 wins out of the remaining 7, I would be very pleased.
