I love how even the midfield of Melbourne can waltz through the corridor against us.

Most team seem to control the corridor for a majority of the game when they play Collingwood. Not sure if our game plan is to play the boundry lines. But one interesting observation over the last 12 games or so.

Notice that T.Cloke seems to take the majority of his marks very close to the boundry lines and only until the last half of Q4 when he kicked those goals he led in the middle.

I would rather see Cloke lead up the middle and that would straighten the pies up. We'll what happens this Thursday night.

Ok seriously. Aside from all these points, there is simply one relevant one far as I can see. ALL teams far as I can say off the top of my head play the corridor, tons of teams have worse cattle than we do in the midfield now and they play the corridor and generally carve us up.

Do essendon or richmond or melbourne have a better midfield than us? I think not, yet they carve us in the midfield. Seriously, you need 1-4 handballs in the midfield and bam your an accurate 20-30metre pass to a forward 50 target running UP THE DAMN CENTRE and bam goals.
Sure doesn't work all the time but with talent like Cloke and especially Jack Anthony why wouldn't you....i think davis or didak or pendles or swan is up to the task of delivering upon that simple idea. Also beams looked the ticket today, most pleased.

Becuase we have Nick Maxwell, only rookies get games at Collingwood.



Seriously when you list our rnd 1 22 it is a very average line up and a 3rd of the players came off the rookie list or very late picks in the ND.
