...IMO used to be Judd, then maybe Murph, arguably Waite.
Is now Hendo. Right now he is the last player I want injured.

I think Jamo and Hendo have been consistently our best two players this year.

A case could be made for (a lack of) Andy Carazzo, but I think Cachia's performance has made up for it.

Henderson is our most important player by an absolute country mile.

So much so that if we could clone him and have one at either end I'd back us in as a premiership contender.

When Laidler went down last year I was convinced it was him.
But his VFL form has convinced me Laidler 2011/2012 is important but unfortunately not Laidler of 2013.

My boy Hendo however is sure making himself a strong case for most important player. I say it all the time, but if we could clone him it would be mighty helpful.

Carrots is probably our most important midfielder though. And obviously Waite forward.

In my mind, there's a slight distinction between most important and best. Henderson was massive last night and has been one of our best this season, no doubt, but I haven't seen him out of the side to see what impact that would really have. For me, 'most important' comes down to replaceability, and so my answer has to be Waite. We have some sort of depth in our defence (e.g. White for Laidler) and midfield (e.g. Cachia for Carrazzo), but if Waite goes down, who is there to genuinely fill in the role of primary forward? In dry conditions at least, we look an infinitely better side with him in it, so he gets my vote.

Henda and Waite are both swing men - Waite mentored Henda and are both very similar players. Most important players are Gibbs & Kreuzer.

I feel like it could still be Judd. When someone needs to stand up and do something to shift the momentum in a game it's usually him flying the flag first. Winning his own ball, getting the quick handball out of a stopage, drawing a tackle. He always finds a way to will himself into the game and have an impact.

That Hendo bloke didn't do much that game. ;)

True, but taking lots of one-on-one contested marks a kick behind the play is hardly like winning a clearance 15m out from Sydney's goal amidst a pack of 30 odd players.

Still Judd for mine, but Hendo, Jamo and Walker are definitely top notch defenders.

Waite & Judd.

IMO the only blokes that have a go.

Who it is = Waite. The only man capable of taking a mark. That's why we aren't a genuine contender. He can't be relied on.

Who it would be = Was traded to W.C. Eagles... Sad thing is he wanted to stay...

From a structural and, seemingly, team confidence point of view, I guess you would have to say Waite. Which is really sad really.

No disrespect to Waitey, I've always loved him as a player and even if he can be a bit flighty, on his day he can be incredible, but we shouldn't be so bereft of tall forward options that we rely on this guy so damn much.
