Will it still be Stevens or will we change it? I feel we will change it because we cannot continually drop our VC. Murphy looks the goods

I think Murphy is ready to become the vice captain, he has all the leadership qualities not to say he's the only one
I also think Gibbsy is ready as well, they will both make great leaders
I think they will give it to Murphy before Gibbsy,
In a few years time, I'd like to see Murphy and Gibbsy as joint vice captains under Judd, i think that would be pretty awesome

Particularly Waite. He's been around a bit more and I think he's very deserving.

Why not? King Carey was made Captain at a similar age - Much like Carey, this kid could be anything.

I think Murphy is next in line however. Bryce needs to HTFU a little before he can be considered as leader of our men.

I'd just reckon they wouldn't want to place too much extra pressure on the boy. Then again he might thrive on it, who knows.

I'd be happy for it to eventuate however

You have richmond players punching franklin in the face making him bleed and franklin complaining about it yet the match review panel said the contact wasnt deemed forceful enough to warrant a suspension.... yet juddy touches someones face ( no matter what he was trying to do he failed greatly and caused no damage, its like campbell browns attempted elbow of lovetts head which didnt connect the thou was there but its didnt happen so brown was free to play next year) and risetelli(whateva his called) didnt even flinch or look in judds direction and runs off?? does that sound like judd tried to hand pick his eye balls out like everyone is making out???

But if he is out i would choooseeeeee Murphy or waite

Thought Simmo did a great job a couple of years back when he did it. Went in for his team mates, played his guts out, and basically just rose to it.
So Simmo for mine, Murph next in line. Waite's missed a lot of footy and his focus will be getting back to where he was. Gibbs i feel isnt ready.

*should of added a poll to this thread. Would of been interesting to see the results.

should be simpson without a doubt. Murphy and Gibbs will still be great players without the VC but simpson could really grow and mature with it. When he captain us back in 07 he was simply awesome and lifted the team when a captain should. so IMO simmo would benefit most from becoming VC and could really help him take that next step in becoming an A grade midfielder

The fact that there's more than one or two names being thrown up in this discussion (none of which are Fev) shows far we've come in the last 2 years when our captain was Whitnall *shudders*

(not that I don't appreciate what he did for the club but wasn't exactly the best captain in our history).

as much as i don't really like murphy too much, he really would thrive with a leadership position like that. that said, he isn't ready yet. i hope one day to see him and gibba leading the team together.
