I know that well be picking up matty kruezer with our 1st pick in the ND but i think we will have to many rickmen on our list so we might have to delist 1 or 2 at the end of next year..this is what i think bout each ruckmen
ACkLAND: Not so good around the ground. He is average at best in ruck contest and finds it hard to make it to each contest. Can play 10 minutes at best without getting to tired and cant kick... he is hard at the ball and provides a physical presence but is not tall enough to be a no 1 ruckmen or not fast enough to be a KF...not a ruckmens mark but can lay a good tackle and like to belt up team mates.....: 4/10
CLOKE: Good in ball ups and center bounces and gets 50-60% of hitouts...25% of those to advantage..creative and mobile but not tall enough to domionate a game..i see him more as a forawrd option..can take a mark but not really pack marks.. against 2nd tear ruckmen
but against sadilands and coz...stay at home 7/10
KRUEZER: I have watched this guy play live 4 ttimes.....Clearly the most mobile out of every ruckmen down at princess park and will be 200 cm by the start of next year.... can mark..infact i even saw this guy play RR for a quater in a final...can play forward and has shown in that in the TAC cup by leading the league in goals kicking 5 or more goals 3 times and generally chips in for 1-2 goals a match... can jump and covers the ground like a middy..ahving said all that he is only 18 and probably cant hold our no. 1 ruck duties all year..i would play him for 2-8 games next year..will prodominately play forward in his games but will pinch hit..6/10
JACOBS: Slow as anything.....can not cover the ground well enough...struggles to leap in the air but can get taps.....not up to AFL standard..shold be given 1 more year but he is the weakest link in our ruck stocks..average VFL player at best...BIBI 2/10
A.OHAILPIN: FAST TALL AND CAN LEAP.....this sounds like a perfect ruckmen but he is far from it... he doesnt position himself as best as he can but is still learning..project player and was going to be played in round 18 before getting OP.....will start in the VFL next year and probs be in the seniors by round 8ish.....his disposal and mark lets him down but he is ampidextrous which will help his cuases....will have a break out year in 08...6and a half/10
HAMPSON: Tall and who said white men cant jump...with an 80 cm vertical leap watch out for this man in 08..will start as ou no 2 ruckmen behinnd clokey and will be competing with ackland and kru dog for the 2nd spot...will keep ackland away but kruezer will be hot on his heels.... covers the ground well can take a mark and gets first hands on the ball 7/10 times....could welll be our no.1 ruckmen by seasons end..needs to work on disposal and positioning but will be a good prospect...7/10
S. OHIALPIN: will not need to play in the ruck unless all of the ruckmen collapse...KPP...average at best in ruck situations but very athletic and can kick a goal...5/10
SO for rd 1 in 08 i would have this as the pecking order for our ruckmen
1. cloke- tap work and athletic
2.hampson- the whole package
3.a.ohailpin- athletic
4.kruezer- good but young
5.ackland- b&f in the vfl
6. ohailpin- probs not needed
7.jacobs- go away reddy
BTW- the ranking out of 10 are not afl rankings but Carlton rankings..would be mmuch lower if comparing to the good ruckmen
