1 Richo
2. Campbell (just on consistency and reliability)
3. Ottens
4. Johnson
5. Stafford

6. Holland
7. Bowden
8. Hall
9. Gasper
10. Blumfield

Hopefully Blumfield can get in the top Five.

Richo is far our Best. Please let this year be his best.

I'm not the biggest Campbell fan but he has been good over the years and deserves a spot.

Ottens is a genuine future star. Has shown he can mix it with the best. Although another poor year (last season was below par) could be used as a big trade bait.

If Johnson can play like he did for Adelaide than our midfield will be all but fixed with the emergence of COGS.

I think Staffords year was fantastic. He is a quality ruckman

Rate Holland over Bowden on importance to the side.

.

Ok how can you put johson (& blumfield) in our top 5/10 whichever when they haven't played for us yet. Your rating them on how they play with their previous team. For all we know Johnson will get the oppositions top tagger and fail miserably (hoping this won't happen) but you can't really put them in our top players until you see what the do when part of our team.
Oh well that's just my opinion anyway.

Without Johnson. - Blumfield I dont think will be top 5.

ONE Coughlan
TWO Bowden
THREE Richardson
FOUR Campbell
FIVE Ottens

COUGHLAN - I think Coughlan is our best player atm. Coughlan was the leader this year of the Richmond Football Club. Coughlan seeing he is so young just put some light into Richmonds year in 2002.

BOWDEN - Joel is one of the best players for Richmond. Alot of the supporters have no respect for Joel what so ever. Joel has a beautiful left foot. Joel has the abbility that not many players have, kick goals for outstide fifty and inside.

RICHARDSON - Richo is Richmonds best forward. Not only our best forward but I put him in my top 3. Richo can take grabs left right and centre. Richo can also kick goals.. when he concertrates.

CAMPBELL - Campbell, although I dont like him as a captain, is a very good player. Wayne can dish the handball off very quickly. Wayne loves to lead the Tigers even when they are down and out.

OTTENS - Bummer of a year this year. Richo was out which ment Otto was out. Im not saying Otto isnt a good player cause he is. Ottens has the opportunity to go to the head of the AFL list. Great grab and great Goal kicker. Also, a brilliant ruckman.

Cant find a spot for Coughlan eh?

Richo

Daylight

Campbell

Others ??? (not in order)

otto - Mr Potential

Cogs - If the next 3 years are as good as his last 10 games he will be number one, some of you should try and remember what you thought of him after the first 8 rounds of the season

Bowden - Still turns the ball over too much for my liking and puts fellow players under to much pressure

Stafford - here is a player i like - only hope his mind and attitude is ok (you just don't know with Sydney boys living in Melbourne)

Holland - still owes us big time

Gaspar - a very good player who we need to fire or we are gone

Rodan - could be great

Throw a blanket over the rest.

I could easily put him in. He has only played about a dozen games. On that experience alone I wouldn't give him the responsibility of being in our top ten let alone top 5.
The fact is he is going to be a excellent player, But rodan had a better year than Cogs IMO. so EH

I think a lot of Richmond people are putting to much pressure on the kid. Hope he is up to it. Let him develope slowly I say.

Very tough. I won't put Johnson or Blumfield in though as I haven't seen them perform for the club. OK, this is when they are PERFORMING at their best.

1. Richardson
2. Campbell
3. Ottens
4. Gaspar
5. Rodan/Bowden

But honestly, my mind isn't on football right now!

However, rfctigerarmy, why is cogs number 1 on your list? He is a good young player but surely not the best in the side. OR are you just talking about on recent form?

I believe that Coughlan was the best player from the Tigers this year.

Mate you have rocks in your head. You have built Coughland up in your mind to be something that he is not.

Mark Coughland 2002 stats for rfctigerarmy.

Games 16 Kicks 153 Marks 60 H.Balls 139 Disp 292 (average=18.25)Goals 8 Pts 9 H.O. 2 Tack 57 Reb 14 Ins5o 60 Clear 70 Clng 38 FrF 19 FrA 15

????? Yes not a bad year for a bloke who has only played 21 games. But if this is our best player for 2002, and the best the club has on offer then we are due for another lean year.

The thread clearly said OUR TOP 5 Players. He is not one of them.

If the Thread was who do you think will be our our TOP 5 Players at the End of 2003. Then yes I would have put Coughland in.
