Yes, Stax/Volt and I even throw Atlantic into there as well (being underrated). But Motown is king, no way overrated.

Motown is just a bit poppy for my tastes, although Marvin's What's Going On is in my top 5 LP's of all time. I like the slightly harder sound of Stax, I'm also a sucker for horn sections and chick singers, and Stax does that so well. Having Booker T and the MG's as your house band kinda helps too.

I like this post. I agree that Frasier is criminally underappreciated, it is an infinitely better show than Cheers. The first 5 seasons are great, especially the eps when Niles covers for Frasier's radio show. Unfortunately, after Niles and Daphne got together it died quickly. Season 10 and 11 are pretty bad. And the finale is among the worst ever for any TV show.

Seinfeld, apart from being the GOAT, never dipped in quality. Post-Larry David it's a far whackier show, but just as funny.

Never understood the hate. It's certainly unique in the cannon of long-running sitcom finales. Beats the usual death/birth/move-out-of-town finale that have been getting dished up for decades. I like the closure it gives regarding all the people they wronged over the years instead of wrapping the main characters in some grande way.

Most of all, it's not depressing! Although if they had have made it back from Paris without drama, Kramer would have been left to his own devices in 5B

Oh! And it has the return of Jerry's monologues. "Anyone here from Cell Block D?" Jerry getting booed and hauled off stage is a great final scene.

Absolutely love the Wire. (avatar a giveaway) but can sypathise with the call its overrated after watching the 'making of / documentary' stuff on the DVD. It was one big circle jerk telling us how good they thought they were! The final season in particular was very self-indulgent, saved only really by the bizzare 'twist' IMO.

I hate The Departed. It took a brilliant, original, high concept film and remade it seemingly for the sole purpose of completely bastardising the ending.

Yeh, nah! I can't stand Kath and Kim either.

I just don't find that parody humour funny. It's so easy and simplistic to pick on the "common" people for a laugh. It's largely not clever and not witty. I have never once laughed at anything on Kath and Kim. I don't think I've even smirked or chuckled at it.

And regarding the Natural Confectionary Company, largely agree, but always loved the 'Forbidden Fruit' pack.
