Abrahamovic is the majority shareholder in the steel manufacturer used by Russia to makes the tanks that are in the Ukraine. I'm sure he is profiting a lot more than he is losing out of this but he does have good pr.

His statement does say to benefit "all" victims of the war in Ukraine. Clever wording as I'm guessing he'd want most of the money going to Russians impacted.

Russia's run a long propaganda / disinformation campaign about "attacks" on Russian speakers purely aimed at areas where they can control the narrative. RA may be talking about these so called "victims" of war with his statement.

To put this to bed completely you would expect RA to say he is shocked and appalled at the illegal invasion of Ukraine and that Putin should cease all military action immediately. And any donations from RA go directly to Ukraine in rebuilding efforts after the war finishes.


There is a problem for him with such a statement. It would literally put him and his families lives at risk. And as long as Putin is in charge he would never be able to return to Russia.

Football clubs are never big money makers. And there's no reason why you can't continue the same level of success with the right management in place. An oligarch / oil money makes it easier to achieve success but isn't the only way to do it.

His daughter has spoken out against Putin. If she can do it it would be easy enough for RA to come out and say it.

Because if he came out and said Putin is psychopath and this war needs to cease then people might take more notice.

Instead he's said zero to condone the invasion.

All he's indicated is when the war is over he'll throw a few roubles Ukraine's way to fix all the destruction his mate caused

It's pretty ****ing obvious it's the intent of his statements that make the difference between his responses and how people view him.

One path, an easy and obvious path says he condones the invasion.

The other says he supports the invasion by his non-condemnation of Putin's actions.
