Are the Glazers still making good money out of United?

They don't seem to care about the teams results too much or the fan unrest.
They take a nice annual dividend, with themselves netting around 100 million quid between '16 and '20. That amount has reduced recently given the drop in share prices, but still, not a bad return for blokes who put zero of their own dollars into the purchase of the club.

The bigger issue is the utterly incompetent mismanagement of the club over the last decade. They have taken what should have been a money printing machine and through incompetence and neglect have run it into the ground. Unless Ten Hag performs a miracle, the club is 18 months from being a mid-table mainstay with no capacity to keep up with its rivals as income plummets and debts still require payment. The Glazers may well sell at that point but whoever buys it will be buying a shell of a club.

There ability to take money out of the club is dwindling. Rising interest costs will not be helping and at some stage it loses its appeal as an investment. There is little if any capital growth left and the yield is awful.

The more we get smashed on the pitch, the more it should be the beginning of the end for the Glazers. Cash in and * off.

Who would the prospective buyer be? Another american hedge fund?

Otherwise you could find a head of state who wants to buy the club for sportswashing reasons.

Such possible owners could be:

Sultan of Brunei
Supreme leader of Iran
Vladimir Putin
Alexander Lukashenko
Erdogan
Assad

All of those are extremely wealthy individuals linked to or in control of a state = endless supply of capital.

The other option is fan owned which will be pretty difficult to achieve at Utd. Imagine what the Glazers would demand from a fan owned consortium!

Jim Ratcliffe. Having INEOS as a sponsor would be cool.

Imagine how many solar panels he would bolt to any new replacement Old Trafford stadium. No parking at home games unless driving a Tesla.
Obviously never going to happen but I'd be really keen to see what kind of stadium United would build under his ownership.

Even if this happens, nothing much will change at United
