Am I the only one who can't see what's so wrong about Wayne Bridge?

No. I can't see why Jose wouldn't be happy to use him as first choice left-back. A couple of years ago, he was almost as (if not as good as) Ashley Cole.

I know money's no object at Chelski, but if they do (and I suspect they will) get Cole for an inflated price, it will be a stupid buy.

Nope, I would have liked him at Spurs, but we seem to have that spot covered now.

Definitely. Bridge is a better defensive left-back than Cole will ever be, but isn't quite as good going forward. That's the only thing I can see Mourinho having against him, but then again Paulo Ferreira is complete rubbish going forward, and yet he is Mourinho's first choice right-back. Quite puzzling really.

that statement is laughable.
John Terry is miles better than him.

That's debatable. I have huge trouble splitting them (I probably lean just to Terry), and others would prefer Gallas.

Must have been a coincidence than when Gallas was in Chelsea's defence in 04/05 they conceded two goals, and when it was Carvalho and Terry they conceded around thirteen.

Pretty AWSOME!!! statistic, huh, Knowledge?

Shows how **** Carvalho is. Well he's not ****, but it shows Gallas>Carvalho or that Terry works better alongside Gallas than Carvalho. Also who did they play in those stretches?

Also wasn't that season Carvalho's first in the EPL?

Either way, that statistic doesn't show too much. Although I admit that Gallas certainly is a better defender than Carvalho.

I don't remember that. I just remember the statistic because it confirmed how awesome Gallas is.

I believe it's a similar statistic for when Gallas played with Carvalho.

The publilshers of Chelsea target Ashley Cole's autobiography are ready to delay its release in order to include the Arsenal defender's final bust-ups with the Gunners. (Daily Star)

Who is going to by his autobiography if he leaves Arsenal?

Arsenal fans won't want to read it as they'll hate Cole, and Chelsea fans won't buy it because it'll be full of stuff about his time with Arsenal.

statistics can be mis-leading my friend.

I still think Terry is better than Gallas. Not saying that Gallas isn't any good he is AWSOME!! but Terry is AWSOMER!!!

Yet they won't play him in his favourite position and that is where the bad blood stems from.

definitely. He covers an enormous amount of ground, drifting inside to more central positions, and then across. For which he receives little recognition.

Gallas is probably the best defender in the world, easily top three.

He is better and more versatile than Terry, who is a powerhouse but also makes basic errors.

There is a reason why Terry being better than Gallas is the "populist" line. The point is useless anyway, they are both so good that separating them is a waste of time.

this is the same populist view, who don't watch very closely.

Terry is more vocal, organises better, Gallas has better anticipation and feet.

IMO he will be a huge loss for them, because he is the forgotten man and was neglected.

Much like madrid must be wishing they paid more respect to makalele.

Gallas>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Terry

I dont think Ive ever seen Gallas make a mistake, Terry makes quite a few but is obviously made to look good but the class around him, The reason Mourinho wont sell Gallas is because they know they cant afford to let him leave.

Get in Pards!!! :D

Agree with the last two points.

I'll be very interested to see what Chelsea do with Gallas. They can afford to make an example of him and force him to see out the rest of his contract. It'll be virtually impossible for them to replace him if they do sell him thus they may call his bluff and simply not sell him and hope he comes around.
