Very interesting game about stamping paperwork in a soviet inspired country.

Played it like two months ago, highly recommended. Your job is to let people through the border but each time you have certain objectives needed to allow people through. If you **** up, you run the risk of having a terrorist attack and you're to blame. The art style is really cool as well. It got greenlit on steam so should be up for sale on steam in a few months.

This game is awesome.

Piqued my interest when I watched a couple week old GiantBomb Unprofessional Fridays with their most simulation interested staffer giving it a go.

I always say to myself that I'll play these interesting 'games with a purpose' but rarely get around to it. But I had to play it after the guys on GiantBomb got into it and gave it a go.

Obviously the beta is fairly limited and linear at the moment, but it's definitely open to some awesome potential with a full release. The possibilities with minor changes and such will be great to see, also need to know what happens with the persistent customer (loved his hand drawn passport). ;) All the horrible moral choices are really quite hard to make, or not make.

Will definitely be grabbing the full title once out on Steam.

I give the beta 4 rainbows out of 5.

Interesting you use the word linear HBK. Not sure how this kind of game could be anything but linear or if non-linearity would even work for the game. The whole point of the game is oppression, it's about making people jump through hoops to get past your border. You break up families, deny starving people, assault the privacy of an entire culture on the basis of the actions of a few. I think the linearity of this game suits it, having such strict guidelines about what you have to do makes the games oppressive context apply to the player.

Exactly, you determine if your city gets blown up or not. No idea as usual what HBKs on about. Maybe if he played the game months ago like everyone else...

The dev is a really cool guy as well, he's putting people's name into the game as characters as he frequents quite a few forums asking for feedback.

I was talking more to how currently there are the same beats that play out regardless of what you do.

I have no doubt a majority of that will change up come once the full title is released as there'll likely be more of a dynamic system.

But for example currently you're always going to get that weird black card drop off. You're always going to get the fake passport guy. You're always going to get the husband and wife.

It's just that aspect of linearity at the moment that I'm sure will change once it's not a beta.

That makes no sense.
